thanks for posting the placecards for me girls... i am still kind of searching... i am asking my FMIL to step in and help me with it next week when she's here. in the meantime, i think i might be a bitch. either that or everyone around me is incredibly stupid. i can feel myself turning into a bridezilla a little bit today. first the thing with my dad not wearing what we asked him to. and now my FSIL informed me that her dress is too big and it's difficult to alter -- which i dont believe for two seconds that its difficult to alter. she doesnt like how her boobs look in it and says the scoop in the armhole comes too high up and she thinks shes going to sweat and get pit stains. OMFG! its not YOUR wedding, nobody is going to be looking at YOU!!!!!!! she said "i dont look sexy" --- ummmm excuse me but since WHEN are bridesmaids meant to look sexy?!?!? just wear the fucking dress and smile in the pictures before i go bridezilla on your ass! i dont care that your boobs dont look good, who the fuck do you have to impress?! why is this the bride's problem? fix it yourself and get over it!

oh yeah anny i know what you mean - the maids are totally like family. my FMIL is actually in a fight with one of jose's cousins right now because the cousin moved to the US for a job a few years ago and stole one of my FMIL's favorite maids! well, my FMIL only just recently found out that that's where the maid went and now she's not talking to the cousin and apparently the cousin is not coming to our wedding because she is afraid hahahhahahahhahahhaha

we've asked our parents to spread the word to people to not cart gifts to mexico with them, to please send them to our house before or after, or cards only on the day of. my best friend got married in june 2006 and they live in AZ but got married in OH, and got tons of HUGE gifts - they had to buy extra luggage and check so much stuff just to get it home and it cost them a small unplanned fortune! another friend of mine who got married in Feb 07 also had the same situation where they lived far away from where they got married, and 3 of the groom's frat bros went in on a gift and bought the newlyweds a HUGE gas grill --- they had no way to get it back in their little sedan, i believe eventually the bride's parents drove 8 hours to visit and brought it to them months later LOL

jac, for at home weddings you shouldnt send your invites out more than 6-8 weeks in advance. if you have out of town guests, you can send STDs to them further in advance around 4 months out so they can book airfare & hotel. as for registering i agree with carly -- remember that a lot of stuff will go in & out with seasons. registering was a huge pain, we did it all in one day for 3 stores and then added & subtracted online a lot when stuff went out of season.

Well ladies, I am pretty much over the DIY stuff, but just found out last night I have to have placecards because we are serving two different choices of entrees. I have no freakin clue what to do, all I know is that I prefer everything to be paper - no starfish because I don't have enough time to air them out/paint them/drill holes and all that jazz. Can you post photos of your placecards or your inspirations for them so I can get some ideas? TIA!

ugh so i found out last night we have to do a seating chart and placecards... i totally thought i could get away without having to do this but because about half our guests are getting one meal and half are getting another, we need to seat them specifically so the waiters know what they need to bring to whom. ugh ugh ugh! so now i guess i have to 1) get the guest list from the mexico side who have rsvp'd they're coming, 2) go buy supplies to make placecards and 3) figure out a way to distinguish who is getting what meal by their placecard AND 4) harass a few of the american guests who still havent chosen their meal!!!

i dont have all the weigh-ins. if i dont have them by 1 pm i will just not include those people in the final results.

just want to let you all know i banned that guy above - it was spamming. yari, id definitely call your doc and find out why you shouldnt take it without a gallbladder. im really curious. i was reading this: myalli.com ? frequently asked questions and it doesnt say you CANT take alli if you have your gallbladder removed, it just says you should talk to your doctor first. and re: barefootbride's comment above -- i just want to say that i cannot speak for others, but although i don't look overweight in my photos, i am more than 10 pounds overweight for my height and build according to my general physician. she is the one who recommended it to me in the first place, so i by no means advocate people who don't need to lose weight using it. i would like to point out that "overweight" is not the same as "obese." you don't have to be "fat" to be overweight.
