  12. Bre- thanks for post!!! Welcome back!!! Can't wait to see review and pictures!!! Hope "married life" is fabulous!! So, they let you change ceremony locations once you get there and can look at them!??! That would be really cool. We are in a similar situation- we were originally scheduled for the casita-but then it was too small, so we are currently booked for the Presidential-but the signs-thing kinda worries me--plus, we are having a private cocktail party right after ceremony at Giovatas Bar- which I believe is completely on the other side of resort?!!?!? (then back to Fuentes for dinner?!?!) I haven't heard of the Faisanes Gazebo, might have to look into that---- thanks again, Bre!!!!
  13. I'm late- you are already on your way!!!! Have an AMAZING time!! Congrats!!!!!!! can't wait to see pix!!!
  14. re-reading other's posts-- I forgot about lunch-- I guess we have all have lunch together at the salon, maybe?!?! Since all the girls will be there getting their hair done!?! Any EDR brides know if this is possible?!?!
  15. wow- you girls are so organized!! I haven't even thought about it-- did resort people help with this!?!?! Here's what I would have so far.... - determined to not get out of bed before 9AM- even if awake - coffee, coffee, coffee- with maybe a mimosa (or 2!) in between the coffees - have room service/breakfast delivered to room - have "wine bath"spa treatment at Spa- 50 minutes- scheduled for 10:00AM **at this point, hoping to avoid most everyone--I'm weird, but want this morning to just be me by myself to get my head straight... the FI is spending the night before in his best friends' room (though we've lived together for 5 years- hehe). - shower and meet everyone at hair salon/spa at 12:30PM for hair appt(s). - photog arrives at 2:30PM - guests are seated from 3:30-3:45 - ceremony is from 4-4:30PM - private white glove cocktail party at Giovatas(sp?) from 4:30-6PM-take more pix! - dinner at Fuentes from 6-8PM - private chocolate fondue party/cake cutting/reception at covered pool from 8-11PM - photog left at 9PM. - me and FI go back to room (for "free" decorated jacuzzi and champagne)- friends will probably get in trouble at resort bar until 2AM..... I definitely have some work to do-- but it got me thinking!! good post!
  16. I'm totally late on this- you are already married! But I just saw this post- and WOW -I know you had an amazing time and thanks for sharing all your ideas-- looks amazing!!
  17. I don't have any real advice- but your post made me laugh out loud- for real...your FI sounds hilarious! Definitely would make a good story- hehe....
  18. Hey! Thanks for website! We are both actually fanatic NC State University (we are both alumni) fans... Enough to where I'm insisting on having our fight song somewhere on the wedding playlist.... So, this might be weird-but I bought a NCSU garter from this website-- it is really cute in "real life" -it came in, but our camera is out of batteries for me to take a picture but the pix online isn't bad...This might be a fun idea for any girls--- if they or their FI is a huge sports fan- suprise him with his fav team-- better chance the groomsmen/guys might jump for it- hehe Here's my garter Here's website.... 19. I think it probably just depends on personal preference and budget...We are having 35-40 people, and am just paying the $250 for the iPOD setup. Probably will have FI's brother to do announcement for 1st dance, etc. Ours was a budget issue- we are adding on a white glove private cocktail hour after ceremony, a chocolate fondue setup at the reception, and a private "thank you" dinner on the beach from us the following evening for guests--- we could have knocked out one of those "add-ons" for the DJ- but decided not too.... and we don't have money to do it all! - I say if it is worth it to you- go for it! If you'd rather put the $$ somewhere else, I think the iPOD setup will be fine for 40 guests....
  20. Hmm- I'm the giant here! All you cute 5'2" girls!!!!!!! I'm 5'9"- thankfully the FI is 6'5"- so it evens us out... - thanks for tip on the portable wooden walkway-- that would be a nice touch if available- I'm planning on having a isle runner, so it might work out better -I'm pretty clumsy- the more support the better- I can totally see myself tripping on the sand and splatting face-down halfway down the "aisle." hehe.. and nolaroy--- yes, they are bad-- like 2 brothers who get each other in trouble and wrestle, etc-- cuties and I love them - but complete trainwreck doggies
  21. OOH -I love it!! so pretty--- love the back- that will be great in pictures-- you look amazing in it!
