  5. love they one of you, your sister and lisa! i'll be seeing lisa this weekend.. and your mom looks GREAT!
  6. i'm going to offer the other viewpoint here. we paid an absurd amount for a video- $400 for 45 minutes. nuts, right? we've also only ever watched it once. BUT we didn't buy it for us. we bought it for our someday kids and grandkids. i think it will be something important to show them someday... that was worth the price to me.
  7. i don't know about specific hotel options, but my bff lives outside dc. she lives in silver spring md and it's a 20 minute metro ride, if that. another option would be bethesda, md. have fun- i love dc!
  8. This is a cool site if you are unsure of what type of plants and flowers you can grow in your area. Plant Finder - Sunset.com My only concern is that my local garden store won't even have most of these, but atleast I have a better idea of what I can grow.
  9. we have wireless at home also but i can't stay focused!! i always end up on here or just watching tv.

  11. So I was just about to head out to my local Starbucks to drink some chai and grade papers (dh is out with the guys and I don't feel like sitting at home), but I checked their website and lo and behold, no free wi-fi. You have to sign up and register for a card, etc. So then I checked Barnes & Noble and you have to pay there also! Where's a girl to go for a little coffee and internet Luckily I remembered we have a Panera Bread close by also and I checked and they have free wi-fi. So where are your favorite places to go for free internet?
  12. love the stuff. i've found it cheapest here: ABC Stores Hawaii - Search although i've never looked on ebay or anything.
  13. project runway's production house was being sued by bravo for breach of contract because they wanted to move to lifetime. in the end i assume the production house won because they will no longer be on bravo.. so it didn't really have anything to do with project runway, just behind the scene logistics.
  14. andrea, i'll definitely post a review.. it's a short cruise- only 4 nights, but we scored a killer deal. $310 a person! so we are flying into barcelona and staying 2 nights and that's where we pick up the boat. then we go to marseille and aix en provence france, then to ibiza (dance party anyone??) and back to barcelona. then we're spending another 2 days in barca. we were on a 7 day cruise 2 years ago and i had a great time but i personally felt like 7 days was too long for a cruise. i know some people love it, but i get antsy. so this is really the best of both worlds for me.. time at land, time at sea, and super cheap!!
  15. kelly, is the market tough in connecticut? i only kind of know the derby area because a friend of ours lives there.
  16. i'm just glad there is some sort of movement going on.. personally, dh and i can't wait to be able to travel there.
  17. bump this baby! what's everyone up to? i can't freakin wait to go on vacation.
  18. i was going to try and make it (i've been around for a while and still haven't made it to one of these) but no dice! eat toooooons of crab fries for me because they are so delicious!

ANd this is why I will be wearing my hair hald up and half down on my wedding day. when my mom grew up she had a friend that used to krazy glue her ears back because she thought they stuck out too much, so that's always an option! hehe, j/k.. i'm sure they are fine!
  20. huge italian wedding in nj and i'd definitely be wearing a skirt or dress... imo it's always better to overdress than underdress.. but have fun either way!
  21. so i just figured i would let you ladies know what i bought my friend.. we went to drexel university and were roomies there for all 4 years (how we met) so i got a little drexel onesie. adorable! she is having it rough though with the acne. she was on bc for yeeeears because of her skin and was also on proactive. now being preggo she's had to cut both and her skin is not a happy camper. i think skincare was talked about in this thread early on.. i'll see what advice i can give her.

  23. morgan, i'm in the same boat as you. dh and i are happily agnostic and have no intention of even baptizing our kids. but there is a part of me that feels like because of my pure ignorance on religion (i grew up in an agnostic home and i've never gone to church except weddings and funerals) i will already be making my child's decision for them that they will also be agnostic, even though i'm fully open to them making their own choices... but since i have no exposure, nor do i want any, how will my kid get any? yikes i don't know.
