  2. I love the fuscia bouquets you were thinking of, but I agree that red would be better with your shoes (love them!). For red, I would definitely call the florist today and ask them what they have available or can get... Question though... aren't you wearing a different shoe for the ceremony? Just a thought because I don't think I carried my bouquet much after the ceremony when I put my heels on. If you plan on doing pics with the heels and bouquet and all, then definitely go for a red bouquet.
  3. *BIG HUG* I'm so sorry!!! That really sucks We lost one of our cats suddenly last year and its heartbreaking.
  4. Go to 'User CP' menu and it will give you a referral link that they can join through
  5. I think we should work on who is coming and then figure out a good location based on where everyone is coming from...
  6. Okay... I called and asked about the featherbed and they wouldn't give out the manufacturere Alyssa, do you know if it was the Sleep Basics? It looks just like the one from W, but is definitely cheaper... I was prepared to splurge on the featherbed, but don't want to get ripped off if I can get it cheaper... argh!

If there is a big group from NYC, we may need to find something a little more in the middle of NJ... Okay... show of hands, who can make it the 20th? 1. Jenn 2. Alyssa
  8. Okie I just got my schedule! I'm off the 6th/7th (but Alyssa won't be there) and then the 20th/21st or 28th. It's looking like the 20th is the best day so far... who else is out there?
  9. Ouch Alyssa! That's crazy! I wonder if they were comparing things that need to be shipped from the Continental US though... like Tropicana and Skippy. Fresh squeezed OJ might be cheaper (and more delicious!). Whenever we travel, common products from the states are much more expensive than local stuff (obviously).

I'll have to call tomorrow and ask... I have BB&B coupons up the wazoo! Andi - I love their pillows. There are definitely similar pillows at BB&B or Linens & Things, but we are splurging on the pillows as well
  11. Great house! Congrats again and for a great inspection!!! I second Lauren with the hardwoods! If you can, try to get them done before you move in... the dust is crazy, and its a lot harder once you have furniture. We managed to get them done before we moved, and it was a great decision. Good luck with everything! So exciting!!!
  12. This is the same place I got my towels from Our guests LOVED them! We ordered one of the higher price towels, $6.75/towel I think. It was pretty reasonable for personalized towels, and they were delivered very quickly if I remember correctly. This only worked for us because we had a small wedding. The towels were VERY heavy and bulky to carry to Jamaica. I'm glad we were able to do it, but I think it would've been hard with a large wedding. Here's a link to when I got them... http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t12714
  13. I don't have a Sept. schedule yet, so whatever you guys decide on, hopefully I'll be off... *crossing fingers*
  14. So I haven't ordered yet, but definitely will be in the next few days... we currently have a high end pillowtop and decided to order the plush with a featherbed. Our pillowtop is about 5 years old and the pillowtop is sort of smushed down. We figured with a featherbed, we could refluff it as needed. I think the beds in the W Hotel are setup this way as well. Pillowtops are definitely very comfy though When all is said and done, its about the same cost as the pillowtop, just our preference. I called them with a few questions, so I thought I'd pass on the info... Also did a lot of internet research... - King and Cali-King both have split boxsprings. - Delivery is 'white-glove' and I believe they do haul away for free as well. - Unless you want a REALLY high bed, definitely consider the 'Low-Profile'. - None of the mattresses are flippable. (Not sure how I feel about this) - I was reading another forum from the last time W Hotel did this, and the delivery times are not as cut and dry as they are on the website. Major cities seemed to receive the bed in about 7-10 days. Everywhere else was up to a month. - After ordering online, you should get a confirmation email for the purchase, and then a phone call 2 days prior to delivery. Can't remember what the towels are like, but I bet they're nice
  15. Sam and I have been dreaming about the W Hotel bed since our last stay in one of their rooms, and now they are having a major sale! Its an employee discount code, so I don't know if you can call to order, but it definitely works online. You can always call them to ask questions and then order online... The code is T6F4M and is good for 40% off! I think its good until the end of August, but we'll be ordering our bed (and pillows and featherbed - woohoo!) tomorrow!
  16. Holy crap Alyssa!!! I cannot believe your day is almost here! Seems like we all just started planning 5 minutes ago, and now I've been married for 7 months and your day is almost here! I am so-oo excited for you!!! Everything looks fantastic and your guests are going to be amazed!
  17. I think its awesome! Very cool cake... but agree that changing out the plane is a good idea for a DW.
  18. I wouldn't start stressing at this point... you don't know when, where, or how much their wedding will be. But, I would say you both need to go. It sounds like they went through a lot to make it to your wedding, so I think you really need to be at theirs.
  19. Kathi I'm so sorry that people are stressing you out with this crap so close to your wedding! Try not to stress and focus on the fact that you are so close to your wedding! Its going to be perfect and fabulous, and if people don't make it, THEIR loss!
  20. Gorgeous pics! Becks you look so happy and absolutely gorgeous! Congrats!
  21. Congrats!!! Its a great feeling owning your own house! Wow that's a fast closing though! You still need to do inspection and all, right? Best of luck and I can't wait to see pics!
  22. We definitely paid upfront, but if she accepts traveler's checks, that's the way I would go. That's just way to much cash to have to carry!
  23. That's so sweet! What a fantastic b-day present!
