  1. Yeah... I have NO idea how that happened! Never seen that one before...
  2. Very cute! I would definitely fill them when you get to Jamaica though due to weight. Just an FYI though - it is technically illegal to bring sand back through customs (some girls have had problems with sand ceremony bottles). Shouldn't be a problem, but good to know about...
  3. I'm Jewish, so no help here, but the marriage blessing question definitely went around before... I didn't go through the whole thread again, but there may be some helpful info here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t13113

And I think FI would be completely grossed out if he knew I had something like that lol The Diva Cup is green since you clean it and don't throw it out. That being said, I'm with ya that DH would be horrified if I told him I was using something like that. And I think you are supposed to occassionally sterilize it... he'd throw a fit if I said I needed to boil it on the stove to clean it .
  5. You guys look fantastic! Your photographer did a fabulous job and you look radiant!

I really don't know what size to order though, and it doesn't really seem like the kind of thing that if you order the wrong size you can return it after 'trying on' - lol. Carly - I don't know if you'll get used to it after time, but I remember being aware of my tampon when I first used them.
  7. That you need to plan your wedding for you, not your guests. Your guests (aka family and friends) will inevitably hurt you through the process, but there is no greater test of a friendship than a DW. That I love my husband more than I ever thought possible
  8. I wasn't in Ochos Rios, but in Negril Verizon worked. We had service, but everyone who needed cell phones rented a phone and then bought calling cards. It was really cheap - like $5/week for the phone or something ridiculous like that. With the calling cards, it was way more affordable than using Verizon.
  9. I'm so excited!!! I ordered my bed yesterday!!! DH told me to order the featherbed instead of trying to find it at LNT. They didn't have it in stock, and unless I felt it, I probably would be wondering if it was the same/as good. It worked out to about $30 more than LNT, so I'm not going to stress about it... We also ordered the ultracloud pillows, which was a HUGE splurge, but I'm so-oo psyched about it!!! Of course, we still have to paint our bedroom, and we haven't ordered a bedframe yet, but someday I'll be sleeping in my dream bed every night!

Our stairs are always disgustingly filled with hair and dirt because they are right at the entrance and we have a split level so you have to go up the stairs as soon as you enter the house, so the stairs get used a lot more than for a regular house with just a basement and 2nd floor. The Dyson has a handle inside the handle on an accordian hose that pulls out easily to clean the stairs. I'm totally not explaining this well, but if you go on the Dyson website it shows pics. Cleaning the stairs is super easy with the Dyson. Its got a long reach and its easy to setup for stairs, so I actually do them
  11. I bought the animal model about 5 years ago and I love it! Its held up really well and like the commercial says, it really hasn't lost suction! I love it!
  12. The CG stuff sounds great I may have to try that... I used a regular lipstick and then bought a lipstick sealer - Lipchic - which went on top of the lipstick. It was awesome! http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t15708
  13. I don't know Trenton at all, so no input from me... whatever you guys know of will work for me!
  14. I put a fan on each chair, but I know a lot of girls alternated fans and programs (assuming you aren't using the fan AS a program). Mostly the women used the fans, so I think your safe doing every other chair
  15. Your pictures look great! Congrats and welcome back!
  16. Welcome back and congrats!!! Your pics look gorgeous! Can't wait to see them all and hear about everything!
  17. Sounds a lot like a "Beef and Beer" here in the states, but we don't usually have them pre-wedding. Would definitely help the financial stressors of getting married though!
  18. So glad someone asked because I was also clueless! I wish that was a tradition around here! That would've been an awesome way to include everyone and make a little dough Are they open bar where you have to pay for everyone, or do people just pay a cover to go to your party?
  19. I've never had a featherbed... but I would hope that it would stay intact Are all of the LNT going out of business? I went to mine today looking for new sheets and the featherbed (which they didn't have) and they were also closing... hmmm... Decent sales in there on bedding, btw - most stuff was 20% off. Add a BBB coupon and that's a good deal!
  20. That is such an awesome feeling!!! We just started a new 5 year plan, so I dream of the day with no car loans!
  21. Wow! This is turning into one heck of a BDW party! Very cool I doubt DH would come, though I will certainly ask him. Whereever we pick will have to be able to accomodate a large group!
  22. Awesome pics Tammy! They look incredible! If this was just playing around, I can't wait to see what you do when you get the knack of it

We're in the same boat with the pillow top - DH is 6'7" and has a good 100lbs on me. That's why we're going with the plush. My understanding is that the beds in the hotel use the plush with a featherbed, so I'm psyched about the combo. We also looked at sleep number, but it was SO expensive... and our numbers were like 5-10 off, which didn't seem like a lot. We're also moving up in the bed size, but we decided Cal. King was the way to go. Its going to be the first time in over 15 years Sam's feet won't hang off the bed! W Hotel does this every few months, but the sales seem to run for about 2 weeks. When they don't have a 40% off, they usually have a 20% or 30%. I've never seen higher than 40% though, so we're going for it... we haven't gotten our bedroom furniture yet, or painted the walls, but screw it! We're buying the bed and it will sit in plastic until the rest of the stuff comes together - lol! You should call it an early wedding present to yourself
  24. We spent the night together and it was perfect We actually woke up for sunrise (not planned, but really special) and then spent the morning together including a couples massage. We had discussed going our seperate ways, but we were at a very small resort and it would've been difficult. He was going to go fishing that morning or something, but in the end, I'm really glad that we stayed together. We lived together, so sleeping in seperate beds just felt odd.
