  1. Don't know how in the world I have missed this thread! I love wine as well. I drink - wine, water and beer, lol. I am actually a wine distributor, so I sell wine to restaurants, hotels, clubs, stores, etc. And I recently passed my Introductory Sommelier class ... so in a few more years I *should* be a certified sommelier. I started out drinking Boones Farm and white zinfandel in college - graduated to Rieslings and Franzia wine-in-a-box. Now, I am a lover of all things wine and appreciate so many different varietals. It's amazing how your palate changes and allows you to enjoy and appreciate different wines over time. I sell over 4,000 differnt wines ... in all price points ... so I have my favorites in every price range. The best wine is the wine that you like. It is a totally beautiful and subjective experience. If you like it - then it's a good wine. That's what I tell my customers as well. And I love when I can find them wines that they love that are not expensive.
  2. Oh wow you are leaving so soon! I wish I had some advice for you, but we didn't write our own vows, so I really don't. The only thing I would suggest is to start with writing down the things you love about your FH, the things that first attracted you to him, the things that still make you smile when you see or think about. Just one or two words for each line. Then, maybe it will be easier to write why you have chosen him for your life's journey together and how you expect your lives to evolve once you are man and wife. I know whatever you come up with will be perfect! Can't wait to hear all about it when you get back!!!
  3. CONGRATS and WELCOME! You are right - this site IS addictive! I've been married for over a year now and am still an active BDW member b/c the DIY ideas are so awesome and the friendships I made while planning my wedding are fantastic! I am also a Punta Cana bride and absolutely LOVED every second of it all! I am sure Dreams will be perfect!!!!
  4. OMG girl, these pics are absolutely AMAZING! You should be ssoo happy but I bet you have a hard time picking which ones to use! WOW!!!! You are a HOTTIE!
  5. I wasn't really on here at all yesterday - so I missed your birthday wishes - but I hope it was FANTASTIC!!!!

I am ssoo hungover today. No working out for me today!
  7. These are such typical exercises that I often forget about, but they are easy to do and very effective!
  8. I got this a while back but haven't used it lately, b/c I was doing a 2x/week boot camp at my gym - which was seriosuly kicking my butt. However, we are in the process of moving, so I didn't want to pay for the next boot camp session since I won't be able to finish it. So, after a two week hiatus, I did this again this morning. When I first tried it, I could barely make it through w/ 3 lb weights. Today - I made it all the wau through w/ 5 lb weights and think I need 8 lb weights for some of the exercises. Instead though, I am going to try Level 2 tomorrow. I am not a motivated exerciser - I need classes or a trainer or some sort of 'reason' to show up ... so I hope I can keep this up. I don't like doing it when DH is home - but he is on Army orders til mid-July - so I have NO excuse. I am hoping to do it several times a week and see if I can keep up the progress I was making in my boot camp. I am sweating like a pig after finishing this workout, too! It definitely works up a sweat!!!!
  9. Just did Jillian's 30 Minute Shred. I guess all my boot camps have paid off b/c I think I am ready to move on to Level 2. I amusing 5 lb weights, too. I actually need 8 lbs now for some of the exercises. I couldn't sign up for the current boot camp session since we are in the moving process ... so thought after a 2 week hiatus I would try these DVD's again. I was/am sweating up a storm! Yay! I hope I can keep it up - I am not the most motivated in-home exerciser...
  10. I got mine off eBay for $9.50 - and while I am sure they work for people with thicker hair - you can totally see them when I try to put it in my hair b/c it is so fine. I used one of the tiny ones once, but my hair is just too fine. I'm going to give mine to a friend who wants to try them. It's a great idea - but honestly, for me - they need to have some extra fake hair attached to cover up the 'holes' it creates when I comb my fine hair over them....
  11. Sure you can! I wore fancy heels for the ceremony and wedge flip flops similar to those for our AHR. Wear what you will be comfy in!!!! They will look great!
  12. You can usually find better deals through a TA or online if you decide not to use a TA. I think the hotels usually charge closer to their rack rates for direct bookings. Unless they have a wedding planner and work out a roup discount. I'd check with some TA's first, definitely...
  13. That's actually pretty funny that FH is so concerned about his appearance. My Dh could care less what anyone else thinks. He is always in shape b/c of the military, but has gained weight since our DW. I have gained a TON of weight since our DW ... and DH knows b/c I bitch and moan and complain about my weight all the time, lol. He says I look fine and am beautiful, blah blah .... which is so sweet - and I hope love truly is blind :-) but I am 40 pounds heavier than at our DW ... so i DON'T look *fine*. DH probably doesn't know my *exact* weight - but he knows what size clothes I wear and that I am tryin to lose 40 pounds ... so I guess that is close enough. Off to work out now.... :-)

MarieSam - Tom and I did pics before the ceremony and it was great. My photog gave Tom his BD book alone, before I got there and captured some of my favorite pics from him opening it! Also, the sequence of pics when he first saw me are truly unbelieveable, so I am glad you are doing pics before the ceremony. You really will get some truly treasured pics!
  15. Oh they are absolutely magnificent! You are right, the styles are very different, but that's awesome b/c it gives you such a variety for your book. Are you incorporatin both shoots into one book or doing two separate books? You are ONE HOT MAMA !!!! I absolutely ADORE them!!!
  16. I haven't been to Negril, but I would tend to lean towards an AI. This way, your guests know the set price upfront and don't have to worry about shelling out money for every little thing along the way. Also, I think having a pool available is key with a group of guests, in order to give them options.
  17. Hello their Auntie! It's great to have you here! We have several Moms and even a few Grooms, but I think you are our first Auntie! YAY! Welcome!!!!
  18. CHeck out this link. It's in Sonoma and has a chapel. Not sure if they perform weddings there or not... :: Sonoma California : Wineries: Nicholson Ranch Vineyards and Winery This link also is about Sonoma - and has info about building the chapel replicas for weddings. Good Luck!!! http://www.bestinsonoma.com/plan_event.html
