Welcome to the forum Laurie! Wow, you have a good sized group already booked at your resort! I don't know the package there at Dreams Cancun but we personally are opting to just bring our own mp3 player and have the playlists in place according to the evening's events. Quite a few brides from this forum have done this and it worked out well for them. Good luck and happy planning!

Welcome to the forum! How big is your wedding going to be in terms of your group? If it's just the 2 of you and a couple witness, then it's obviously much less to get in place, if it's a bigger group then you have to add in reception stuff.

Well, I've heard from a couple folks who had a wedding on a cruise that it was effortless and perfect so it really depends on the size of your group, what you want out of the wedding and how much you want control over decorations/settings, etc... I was pretty indecisive at first as well. We started out thinking we'd do a wedding in the Bahamas cuz... well, cuz it sounded about right. Then we read up on this forum and made a decision based on reviews, pictures, dates available, etc... and it all came together. Don't worry, you'll figure out a perfect setting for you guys here soon. Wow, long winded welcome but we've all been there so wanted to share that bit.

To echo a couple others... PERFECT TIMING! We're in the midst of putting ours together now too and just went and bought a new iPod to load 'em all up to. This is such a big help. Thank you so much Christine!

I've heard that Dreams does very nice romantic dinner for two on the beach upon request/reservations. This would be a wonderful treat for the anniversary couple! For the birthday, I'd suggest (just based on what I've read so far on hear and what I've heard) a sunset cruise for a group of you to celebrate. Would make for a memorable evening for sure.

I went to Micheal's with my Mom and let her just go to town on the favors and have creative control but basically it came down to tulle bags with homemade seashell shaped chocolates as well as some little real shells. I'm a couple weeks behind you in leaving for our wedding too and I feel you on the stressing. I keep looking over our list of to do's and what's in place with our plans and I think we're good to go too but, yeah, it's overwhelming and exciting and stressful rolled up into one. Sounds like if you guys just have 2 lil issues lingering that you're gonna get solved here soon, you're solid. Jill, would you be able to relay back to us if the roses there in Los Cabos Costco are priced comparably ($14.99 for 2 dozen up here) and if they have a wide spectrum of colors available as well?
