Love the pics! Thanks for sharing! I absolutely love your 2nd dress (for reception) so pretty and the bridesmaid dresses are an amazing color. Congratulations! -

Welcome to the forum Sabrina! Have you done any narrowing down here in the last couple hours? :-) This forum will fill in soooo many gaps in your planning information so enjoy!

Welcome to the forum Brianna! You'll find quite a few brides who have or are marrying at Dreams Cancun. Dreams resort seems to be quite a popular choice in general. I'm sure his family will warm up to the idea once they get in the mindset of combining a wonderful celebration of love with a great family/friend vacation.

Welcome to the forum Corey! ((whispering)) I've never been to Los Cabos either and based on pictures, referrals and research we planned for our wedding to take place there. We didn't even get to do a site visit to check it all out but based on so many brides experiences there along with other factors, we figured it seemed just perfect. That being said, you'll learn all kinds of fun stuff on here and add to your planning like you never expected. Good luck and happy planning!

Wow, what a man and what a proposal! Congratulations and good for you that you get the memory of this day saved on film forever! -
Welcome to the forum Shelley! Have you tried skimming through the forum location strings on here (Hawaii, Mexico, Carribean, etc...) to get more ideas about the possibilities? It helps to read about others' experiences w/the locations they chose. I know that's what helped us narrow down the location. Looking forward to hearing how your planning comes along.

I recomend it to everyone even girls that aren't really in shape like myself. You would be surprised how good you can look at certain angles. Also another tip I want to throw out (and sorry if I'm being a hijacker) is go to Sephora for your make up. They did a great job on mine and it's free. They are not even allowed to accept tips. You are just encouraed to buy some of their products so I bought make up that I will wear for the wedding. Wait, why didn't it work? did you try using a photo hosting service? Seems like you should be able to upload it to photobucket maybe and post? no? Did you love the teaser pic? And amen to the angle work. Yep. (btw, you're not hijacking at all. Actually, I just wanted to bring up the topic again to bring light to how amazing it can feel to have a really good BD session no matter how you really feel about your figure).

How many do you get to pick out to be in your coffee table (tee hee, can you imagine going to a friend/family's house and seeing a book like this out? hot damn, can a sista get something stronger than coffee) book or are you going the route of putting your own together? I've seen that a few of the girls on this forum put their own together and while I commend that, I know myself and I wouldn't do it justice like a professional would but definitely commend those who put the work into theirs. I'm wondering if I'll blush like mad and a wave of modesty will hit me when I actually see the pics of myself in print though. Get over it... right? ((deep sigh))

Yeah, her price was right for my budget and I really liked her work (what I'd seen on her site and from her emails when I inquired about BD Pics) so all in all, good deal considering. She does the session in her studio (she has the different backgrounds, a bed, surfaces, fabrics to work with/against, etc...) and puts tunes on obviously to help relax you. Here's her site in case anyone wanted to look her up. Genevieve Leiper Photography

And you get pics of yourself at your prime to reflect on. Win/Win.

I'll post a few of the less risque (I'm telling you, she is a fan of just nude silhouette shots and I figured, if she can make my body's lines look as good as I'd like, I was game) ones. They were a mixture of just romantic figure shots and other fun role playing shots (SOO FUN!!!). I should be getting them to pick out my favorites next week and will share a few of them. The price was $650 for a few hours of the photo shoot and it included having hair and makeup done onsite and 4 outfit changes, a coffee table book (really nice) and a smaller night table book with 30 of the best pics. ((still on a high here))

Just thought I'd put it out there in case there were any ladies in the DC/VA/MD area that were looking for a BD Photographer since I had been looking for one and came across Genevieve Leiper via the Boudoir Photography Network that one of the photrapher members posted on another thread. I had my session with her this morning and I can't express how liberating and even empowering a good boudoir photo session can be. If the photographer gives you good direction and has a good artistic eye, the pictures just end up looking more sexy/artistic as opposed to hoochie coochie (I'm sure some of you have seen some raunchy looking bd pics out on the net while searching for a photographer). From the ones that she showed me on her digi cam, they were beyond what I expected. I'm pretty hard on my physique (damn the media making me feel I should have a taute and high tush and a six pack... and my buying into it, right?) but after the session with her, I felt more comfortable in my skin than ever! Apparently she studied and used to work in figure studies so she did more silhouette shots and celebrating the contrast of curves against soft backgrounds and in the end, my fiance's gonna get something he'd NEVER have expected out of me. I'm so happy that I found out about the BD pics on this forum and glad I got up the nerve to just do it because i'll probably treasure these pics when I'm lifting my boobs in heavy duty bras and lamenting over gravity's gift. Ok, that is my decompressing from the excitement. I'd encourage any btb or woman in general to consider doing this for her hubby/hubby-to-be or even just for yourself. Cheers!

Happy Birthday Jenny!

Yeah, you can definitely have a really nice wedding there at Dreams for a group of 20-25 adults w/in a budget of 8K. The big chunks of our budget were photography and obviously our stay there at dreams. We're not having a lot of flowers and opted to use their speakers and mic and just plug up an mp3 player instead of having a DJ so that cut down some on the price. Our total wedding cost, including his suit, my dress, honeymoon, airfare, welcome dinner, reception dinner, cocktail hour set up, Trio band (1 hour), photography (half of the $2300 cost because my Mom offered to pay for half), some of the OOT bag stuff, as well as helping my brother with half of his airfare is a total of about $11,500.

Welcome to the forum! I love when I see new members who join the forum so that they can help their friend/daughter/sister plan their DW. That's soooo good of you to put this time and effort into helping her out. I hope you find tons of great info on here that's going to make this planning go smoothly and excitingly for the couple (as well as you since you're such a participant in this big event!). Cheers!

Welcome to the forum Diana and of course congratulations on your engagement! Once you get a few of the logistics down for your wedding, you'll get to relax and enjoy it more, before hitting the next wave of details for it. Either way, enjoy it and happy planning!
