They aren't as concerned about it going just right, they really trust that no matter what, the wedding is happening so what's the worse that could happen. That's what I think but I plan on asking FI just out of curiosity (sans mentioning the switching groom detail...)
  2. Oh my goodness, that sounds like such a lil Los Cabos DW Indiana Jones adventure! I won't even try to read into it but definitely interesting stuff.
  3. Wow, wedding planning anxiety can put such worries in our subconsious, can't it? I had a weird dream/nightmare last night that my current fiance kept being interchanged in scenes w/my past fiance and it was freaking me out. Then my ex-fiance made me wear this wedding dress that was red and ghastly... Then on the way to the church, we were in a car accident and just took off on foot to make it to the church on time. Then just a bunch of really weird scenes that can totally be read into but I'm leaving it alone. I'm assuming we'll have these dreams/nightmares till we finally have our day go smoothly and all's well, huh?

So having this up somewhere with a group picture puts a lot of sentiment in it and will conjure up sweet memories everytime we see it up.
  5. Congratulations Christine! Can't wait to see the fun pics and hear how it all went!
  6. How exciting! Congratulations on this monumental step today and the excitement to come this weekend!!!
  7. Welcome to the forum Roxy!
  8. It looks like the price for bows goes up to $2 for 2008 where as, it's $1 each for 2007. some of the prices just vary from year to year (ours is at the end of this year so we still are going off of the 2007 pricing). Ok, I'll share the info I get on specifics (I asked for individual MOH bouquet, best man bouttenier (sp?) as well as ones for our Moms based on them just being roses) from Mariana when she responds. Thanks for sharing!

I felt as though money would go so much further in Mexico, which I think it does, but there are just so many things I want to do. jess Jess, can you post any price details for extras that Mariana sends you? I also just emailed her today asking about some stuff for our wedding and will post any good info she provides. I'd rather work with too much info to decipher than too little and not have my expectations be correct.
  10. What great captured moments by Juan Carlos! They're all gorgeous but the one that got me was the black and white of you two on the stairs. Something looks so tender and 'captured' about that moment.

I was just wondering if they had anything similar to that to offer as decoration or if you HAVE to bring them to have them? Or is it just more expensive to add that into the decor cost straight from Dreams price list?
  12. Wow, this is great for my visual senses of what to look forward to (we had to budget so fiercely that we're not able to do a site visit so it's all off of pictures, crossed fingers, all of y'alls testaments/ideas and faith ) Angela. Thanks so much for posting these!
  13. I believe on the East Coast it's called World Market actually and they're really putting them up everywhere, same company, same stuff really. ((drool)) Love me some World Market. The coolest, most original looking tableware, accessories for decor, etc... ever.
  14. Welcome to the forum Bianca and congratulations on your recent engagement! You're gonna love this forum and all the info that's going to be coming your way. All you have to do is check this forum once or twice (or 27) times a day and you'll be feeling like a pro-planner before you know it. We're also getting married in Los Cabos (Dreams Resort) and it was actually a relatively easy decision for us based on the location, pictures, great reviews, all-inclusive and of course their having our date available. I'm sure you're plans will fall right into place once you decide on the resort.
  15. Welcome to the forum Critsey! It's always nice to have more photographers on here considering brides to be count on you guys for our most cherished memories.
  16. BTW Glenda, none (I think) of us would even be looking to get a deal this great on such a classic item for the OOT bags if it weren't for you. Your initiative is awesome.
  17. Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your engagement! I loved my trip to DR (Punta Cana) last year and if I found more vendor information, we may have picked that location actuallly. Have fun with the planning!
  18. I've stayed at the Melia Caribe last year in May for a long weekend and I loved it. I don't know where the wedding would actually be though since I didn't see many areas condusive to that but the service was great, food was pretty good (though getting reservations at their restaurants was a bit of a tricky thing but on vacation, you tend to care less and just take it as it comes, at least I do) and the beach was gorgeous. Their beach is actually topless (I won't say either way whether I participated in the liberation) though so it's not really kid friendly but fun for adults. The main pool there is awesome too. All in all, I'd give it an 8 in rating.

    Hola

Welcome to the forum Erica and congratulations on your engagement! I remember how excited I was when I stumbled upon this forum and how quickly I got into info overload (though, in a good way of course). Have fun with the planning!
  20. Welcome to the forum Julie! I've never been to Puerto Vallarta either but I'm sure many of the other brides to be on here have. Have fun with the planning!
  21. Welcome to the forum Lindsey!
  22. Ignore my jumping the gun there, just realized you did post about what you've got left so far. I'm right there w/you on the last details.
