I just want to know what the girls that have already been married there think..... HI! Checking in for a second... I am not sure. My veil, as long as it was, came forward and my dad grabbed a hold of it and is holding it behind his back. During the ceremony we tried tucking it under my arm a little and during most pictures it was tucked in the back of my dress a bit. If it were short I don't think I could have done that. I would suggest trying the walk when you arae there. I was married in February and Jill in October and we both thought it was too windy. (Yes I am stubborn). Paula will probably be able to give you better advice because she wore hers. Quote: Originally Posted by Ana Cerda Great pictures. Did anyone have mariachi band during the reception? Hola Ana! For those of you married at an AI resort...
PaulaV replied to kr3611's topic in General Wedding Planning Information
For our welcome dinner we just met everyone at the lobby bar, gave out the welcom bags and went on together to dinner. It just so happened that Friday all the resort restaurants were closed and they were having Carribbean night in the ballroom. (Dinner and show). They sat us all together and we made sure to tip them well. Worked out great. -
They have gotten to the point where they have so many weddings, they prefer to stick to their list of vendors, which is understandable. Claudia C has very little time off and works special events and is the WC as well. She is very good at her job and will do everything possible so you have everything as you would like. The only external vendor I had at my wedding was Claudia Rodriguez, but she had done many weddings there. You may want to inquire if Claudia R is still one of her vendors as you have seen pictures of several weddings she attended there. I used everything else from the package and it was perfect. I was concerned about getting the flowers I wanted, but they were exactly what I wanted. I would not have changed a thing! Well, just wearing a veil since it was windy when I was married, but that's a personal thing It was *very* nice to have someone else worry about vendor contracts and where to get things as I was not there to do so. I was so thankful for her! I know we try to do so much from afar, but I assure you it will be a wonderful day.

I'll have to see if they have a similar plan too. This floorplan with David Weekley has 2 different names depending on which community it's built in. If we build it within the city/suburbs, the price goes up about $100K. But just going to a community 10 miles north of the farthest suburb reduces the price enough to make it worth doing. Especially since my job isn't by downtown Dallas anymore. It would only increase my current commute by about 15 mintues. Excellent! I work downtown and live about 17 miles away I guess, new area, they are always building... We were between that Centex model and the one we have now which is a 5-level split. We have basements here though and a lower-level family room which is really what we wanted. I am so excited you are going through this process Maria!

Well, I am bi-lingual, but I don't know that I can type it up with the proper the phonetic pieces you are looking for right now since I am at work. I need more time. I have what I used in my welcome booklets, but they are different words and phrases. http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t17453

We had the buffet style for dinner. Out of the pictures you had, we had the chicken fingers and the mini quesadillas at the cocktail hour. The only thing I had from the cocktail hour were two quesadillas when I ran by from our pro pictures to a group picture. People raved about all the food though. I am Mexican and specifically wanted good Mexican food at our wedding and it was great!

Maria! that is just like my neighbour's house! It was a Centex Home (They may have changed names here in OH).

Cancun Beach Status

Actually, they have two very nice private beaches where you don't get vendors or people from other resorts hanging out there. One is perfect for swimming. The one on the tower side is a little rougher so you can only go out so far. This is where the gazebo is and the water hitting the rocks is very cool. My honeymoon hotel in Playa del Carmen didn't have a beach anymore, but we didn't have the need for a beach then and you walked down a bit and there was a public beach. -
That is wonderful Abbie! I am so excited for you!!!

Welcome Lindsey! that sucks that she is getting married around the same time you had planned, but you can just change your date! Maybe even pic a Friday or Monday. I was married there in February and it was perfect! Best of luck planning!

Wow! You were one of the first BDW weddings that I remember. Happy anniversary and wishing you a lifetime of happiness together!

Hang Tags (for fans)
PaulaV replied to BillysBride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
Ah, I guess I should have mentioned we wrote their names on the back of the tags well. Some people were single, some couples, some had babies which changes the contents a little. -
Hang Tags (for fans)
PaulaV replied to BillysBride's topic in Wedding Flowers, decoration, cake, etc.
My advice is to copy your logo into PowerPoint and print it on a thicker cardstock yourself. I made my logo, pasted it into Powerpoint, made the mofications needed, print, cut and holepunched it myself and added the hangtag ribbon. -

I have been to the Blue house a few times, so looking through the pictures and the stories made me feel like I was there. Not to mention I grew up with many of these dishes and celebrations!
