We spent 2 weeks in Dominican Republic, but our honeymoon will be in April we are unsure where we are going, I keep changing my mind, between Mexico, Jamaica, or San Andres, and now we have started talking about Portugal too. I have to decide what kind of vacation I want just some r&r, or a sight seeing see another part of the world vacationhuh.gif

We are going to Miami in July for two weeks, with Liam, and we have a family reunion in Jamaica in August. It's going to be a busy travel year next year.

If FI can get enough vacation time and if we can afford to go somewhere else we would like to go to either Hawaii (I've been there once) or the Bahamas (neither of us has been) after the wedding. We were planning on staying 7 nights in Mexico for the wedding, but I think we should stay less and spend more time on the honeymoon. If we can't do a honeymoon we may switch to an adults only resort in Mexico after the wedding. We also plan on going to Italy the year after so if don't get to take a honeymoon we will consider that our honeymoon/anniversary trip. My FI's family is from Italy so most of them will not be able to come to the wedding so it will give us a chance to visit with them and show them pictures as well.

UPDATE: We booked 5 nights at the Grand Velas Vallarta! I am so excited! We are flying out to Guadalajara to join the rest of my family for another 4nights then we'll return to L.A. So we'll be in MX a little less than 2 weeks.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
