My FI and I have dated 2 years and 6 months when he proposed. Now, we've been together 2 years 8 mons. We will be together 3 years 6 months and 15 days on our wedding day. I know it doesn't seem long compare to other couples here but it sure was a long wait cos we're both not getting any younger.

We met on July 22, 2007

I moved in New Years Eve (After only 5 months of dating. The way he asked was very sweet. I took the bus back to Ottawa from Christmas with my family 6 hours away. I wanted to go straight to his house because I hadn't seen him for 6 days, but had to stop at my apartment to feed my cat. He said "why don't you bring your cat to my house, you're here all the time anyway." I said "ok, that's a good idea, that way she won't be alone anymore" then he said "why don't you bring all your clothes over too?" I said "sure, that'll make it easier. I won't have to carry it back and forth" Then he said "why don't you move in?" and I did!)

He proposed October 10, 2008 (after dating for 1 year and 3 months. It would have been sooner but his sister was getting married in August and we didn't want to steal her thunder)

We're getting Married April 2010 (we will have been together 2 years and 8 months)

When you know, you know. I couldn't be happier :)

We officially started dating after 4 months of him wooing and flirting non stop with me. We got engaged a year and 3 months after we started officially dating. And we will be getting married ... probably sometime around March of 2010 - which will be 2 years after he proposed.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
