    This is one of my biggest fears because that's the most complaints I have read so far about Gran Caribe Real. We are having our wedding there next year in April. We wanted it in Cancun and it was within our budget plus they were able to accommodate for people who have kids (like me). I'm starting to second guess our choice. =/

    For our STDs, I did emails (notifying about travel information for those who wanted to book ahead of time) STDs through https://www.paperlesspost.com andthen sent out a card STD through Vistaprint.

    I'm a 2015 bride! We are going to get married on April 17, 2015 at Gran Caribe Real in Cancun, MX. We have been together for over 10 years!

    I really love the first dress. Something about lacey and long is so perfect. Yes, I got my dress in the beginning of the year. (Our original plan was to have a hometown wedding but we cancelled it and decided to a DW instead.) So I'm really happy with my dress. This is the back of my dress.

    I have no advice but I would enjoy your the first few years of being a married couple. I got pregnant with my daughter when I was 24 (had her at 25) and we had already been together for 6 years while becoming new homeowners. Our daughter is almost 4 years old and we are doing everything completely backwards. I love my daughter than life itself but if I could do it differently, I would have enjoyed my youth a little more. Got married first, enjoyed my newlywed stage, travel and do other things. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

    This is one of FI's fears right now but I'm not as worried about it like I was before. We already had 2 people declined which is my brother (budget reasons) and my sister (who is my maid of honor) due to the kids being in school and they don't have an available babysitter that will stay for a few days. I'm not upset because I knew that with DW, this is what happens.

    People who complain to the bride and groom about destination weddings is incredibly selfish and it's tacky. Rude. We have gotten quite a few from people about our DW. I finally learned to ignore it and say "I'm sorry you feel that way. If you can't make it, we understand. We will miss you." I learned that in the end, it's OUR wedding and we will have fun. If they can't make it or not.

    I am also a 2015 Bride too! Got engaged in December 2013 and getting married on April 17, 2015 at the Grand Caribe Real in Cancun.
