I know the app is only available for iPhone and iPad but I heard some brides use Spotify as their DJ. You just have to pay the premium account. We would love to do the DJ route but I just know it's not in our budget. It would make it easier for us. I have read online about some people saying the DJ is able to get a feel of the crowd while with a an iPod, it can't.

We leave this Wednesday. Everything is a bit chaotic right now but I think I can manage. I'm working half day today and tomorrow. I kind of wish I just took off tomorrow. Oh! I have already started packing but I am getting overwhelmed. I will start one task, leave that task and then start a completely whole new task. LOL. My (4 year old) daughter has been insistent on helping me with EVERYTHING and I am such a planner. Haha. I am looking forward to see everyone's photos! I leave this Wednesday! Our flight is about 2 hours and 20 mins so it's not so bad. Although the forecast says it's going to be scattered thunderstorm when we leave from Houston. I hope it's not too bad. Today, we are also getting legally married today so it's feeling so real! I have soooo many last minute things to do but I am going to do my best to knock everything out today. I hope you ladies take plenty of pictures and share them! I look forward to seeing them. I hope you gals are able to knock some last minute things off and will be able to relax before you leave.

Thank you to whoever suggested the wedding DJ app! I downloaded it today and I swear, this is going to make it so much easier for us. We would love to do the DJ but it's not in our budget. I'm going to do a test of the app as soon as I'm done with my playlist.

I have the ceremony attached (pre-ceremony, during and afterwards) but not in that order. I think I am about to change it. FI doesn't want to go the "classical music" route so I might change that tonight. I also attached what I have the cocktail hour and I am currently working a list for our reception. This is what I get for doing everything last minute!

Buwahaha, we haven't started either. We are the crazy people who decided to install wood floors into our house before we leave. Our house is a hot mess right now, lol.

I live in Texas and we filed for our marriage license 2 weeks ago. You have a period of 90 days (from when you filed) to get legally married. We are doing a symbolic ceremony in Mexico (I call it a ring and vow exchange) and we are getting legally wed two days before we leave. I hope that helps! Oh they also told me...the officiant (or whoever marries you guys) will mail in the marriage license. It said it should take a couple of business days for the courthouse to file your marriage license before they return it back to you.

I have used the OTC when we went on some cruises awhile back but it never worked for me. I know Zoran works for me because it helped me with my first trimester when I was pregnant and it doesn't make me sleepy. Same! I took my daughter to her well last month and we got her up to date on her vaccinations before we are leaving. Although she wasn't a happy camper that day!

If you plan to get vaccinations, they usually recommend 2-4 weeks before your trip. I'm going to check to make sure and also get some anti-nausea medicine JIC.

I had my 3 bridesmaid and my MOH (my sister) attend my dress shopping. They were absolutely wonderful and helped me narrow down some choices. I was completely overwhelmed.

I had a really crappy morning so far but I received an email from the wedding consultant at the resort. She mistakenly charged me with a private reception for our wedding instead of the semi-private. Since we have already paid the invoice and she asked if we want to keep the event private or she could refund us the amount. We decided to go ahead to go forward with the private reception. I am super stoked for this because I really wanted to do the private reception but we couldn't get it at that time. We chose the oceanfront gazebo as our private reception. Instead of the 1.5 hour of the semi-private reception, we will have a duration of 3 hours with a sound system, servers, open bar and the dinner. Ahhh, I can't wait! I'm planning to spend my entire work day reading through the reception posts on this forum and planning the reception. If you have any advice or tips, I would love to hear them!

No, they have 1 stop. They stop in Mexico City. We booked with United and its a 2.5 hour flight. Straight from Houston to Cancun. I didn't want to go that route for our guests but it was the most affordable option that we would do. Oh! That's a relief! I'm glad to hear. Thank you so much!

I loved Southwest when we went to Vegas awhile back. They haven't flown out direct internationally yet. We went ahead and went with AeroMexico. The flights dropped to $413 per person so we went ahead and booked it for the rest of the family members. It's a total of 6 hours to get to Mexico but I don't think they will complain. I hope not. I think they are in the making of trying to do direct international flights in Houston with Southwest. It would be nice though!

Our guests who were suppose to fly out on the same day as us said their dates changed too but they were flexible about staying a little longer. The ones who were flying in on Thursday said they had a 30 minute time difference change. I am checking my local airport website and I'm tracking AeroMexico's flights for today to see if they are running on time. We have some miles that we are about to redeem for these airfares. Sigh. It's such a pain in the butt.

I need help, brides! I'm going crazy about airfare again. We originally booked last month with VivaAeroBus. We were able to purchase 10 tickets for $2300. What a steal, right? Well last week, I received a notification that there were some changes to all our flights. They cancelled all FLIGHTS that was leaving on a Wednesday. They pushed ALL our flight dates to the next day including the arrival dates for going home. Long story short, VivaAeroBus didn't offer us a solution. They told us to choose another date and they will change it with no fees. No valid reason given why our flights were cancelled for those days. Luckily, we fought for our refund back and Chase bank was a wonderful help on it too. It was hard because a lot of our guests including ourselves requested time off of work and we couldn't be flexible about the dates. Now I'm back at square one. We have already purchased tickets for myself, FI, our daughter and his mom. It was friggin' expensive but it needed to be done. I still need to purchase 6 more tickets and the airfare is so high right now. The cheapest I have found is $420/PP but the entire flight to Mexico is about 6 hours. It's with AeroMexico and I have been reading the reviews about it. Most of them are not great (most of them said their flights dates/times were changed) and that's what I'm afraid we will go through again. Has anyone flown with AeroMexico? I have to purchase the tickets this week which explains why I am stressing out. I'm kicking myself in the butt for not purchasing earlier with United a couple months back.
