  1. It depends on what resort you pick but my understanding is that most resorts charge for each centre piece. Some resorts have a decorations package that you can chose but again there is a charge associated with that.
  2. Just an FYI- I was checking Canadian Tire's website and their Bubba Kegs are half price right now
  3. People do not understand RSVP etiquette!! I'm in the same situation but my RSVP date is march 1. I've had multiple family members say "I still have time". Some people just do not get it. I honestly wouldn't worry about people not booking on time, they are adults and if they miss the date to book the trip for cheaper then it's their loss! I've had to learn not to stress about things out of my control.
  4. I think I understand what you mean but I'm not sure that it is possible. Whoever legally marries you is legally bound to vouch and prove correct information like date and place. I could be wrong but this is my understanding of the legal part.
  5. I'm finally starting Insanity again! I was in a car accident before xmas so I was unable to exercise until now! It feels great to be starting again. I will be starting month 2 soon to amp things up since I don't have much time left. I've also been using myfitnesspal to count calories and it has been working well. Keep up the great work ladies!!
  6. I have been searching and have no found any.
  7. I completely agree and was going to suggest the exact same thing.
  8. I am jealous of all of the brides that get to trash their original dress. I was planning on TTD despite what my mom said but our photographer has to fly home the day after the wedding so I had to purchase a second dress to trash before the wedding. Either way, dry cleaning and preserving your dress will be expensive- one of my friends dry cleaned and preserved hers (she did NOT TTD) and it was $500. My other friend trashed her dress in the ocean and it was covered in sand and it still cost her $500 to dry clean and preserve. I've heard of brides showering with their dress on after being in the ocean and most sand came out- so I'd say go for it!!!!
  9. I really regret buying my bridesmaid dresses from there! After spending over $800 on 4 dresses the "consultant" was rude and snarky while taking my payment. The dresses have started to arrive one by one so I've had to make 4 separate trips to the store because they said they will only hold each dress for 2 weeks, so inconvenient!! The last trip, one of the consultants ran out of the store screaming my name and accused me of taking the piece of paper that I signed in order to pick up the dress. I am very displeased with their customer service!!
  10. David's bridal has more options for colours and styles if you order from their stores. The downside, online is cheaper and their customer service has been awful!!
  11. I've been to 2 Bachelorettes in Banff and they were a blast!!
  12. These look great! I've tried using Publisher, it was a total fail! haha
  13. I think Adriana said it would be done in February. How long did your dress take? Did you get your veil there as well?
  14. My dress is almost exactly the same! I dropped the waist a bit and decided against the beading on the side. I cannot wait to get my dress!
  15. Congrats! A December wedding is totally possible! My best advice, research, research, research! Everything depends on your budget and what you are willing to spend. Once you decide on which resort etc I would book it soon, you'd be surprised at fast time slots for weddings book up- even this far in advance. I sent our Save the Dates via email because we had time sensitive information regarding a group booking discount. I sent out our invites about 9 months out to give people as much time as possible. I recommend having an earlier RSVP date so you can get a better idea of numbers, this is the one thing I would have changed because I am bringing all of our decorations with us and has been hard to estimate how much stuff I will need. As for a photographer, this was one of my highest priorities, at the end of the day all you have left are pictures. I was willing to spend a bit more on a photographer, we are bringing one with us but there are a ton of local photographers where ever you decide to go. As of now, we do not have any off site guests and I hope it will stay this way, all resorts charge a fee for a day pass for these guests to attend the wedding- this cost can quickly add up if you have a lot of guests who chose not to stay at the same resort. Hope this helps! Good luck and have fun planning!
  16. I chose mywedding.com and found it more user friendly than wedding wire. It's really straight forward and easy to set up with pictures etc. It has lots of features on the website like budget, checklist and option for email guest list that I haven't used because I was too lazy lol. I didn't order the corresponding invitations because I didn't want to be too matchy but that is just me. I hope that is helpful!
  17. I live in Calgary, I asked that my bachelorette be planned in Banff. It's great to get out of the city, pretty cheap for a weekend away. The best part about having it in Banff, everything is within walking distance and bar hoping if we get bored at one place.
  18. I'm pretty nervous as well! I had a custom dress made, I put the top of one dress and the bottom of another together- I hope it looks as good as everyone elses on here!
  19. Love this song! I'll be walking down the isle to the instrumental version of it.
  20. Wow! It turned out amazing, it looks great on you!
  21. You can search the photos on this site that were uploaded by a member of the resort. I would suggest contacting the resort to get the most up to date price list. The prices I have are for 2012 and there was probably a price for 2013.
  22. I ordered my chair sashes and cloth napkins from linentablecloth and am very happy with them! The only issue is that the colours are quite different in person compared to the colour swatches online.
  23. My plan is to do a boudoir shoot. Two of my good friends have used TAIT photographer in Calgary for their boudoir books. It is expensive but the quality of her work is amazing! The way I look at it is, I'll probably never do anything like it again and it'll make a nice gift for the fiancé. I would rather pay a bit more money for a nice quality book and photos than regret not paying enough and have something I never want to look at again.
