Great planning thread!!!

We were lucky that some friends and family volunteered to take some deocrations and supplies. We probably handed about half of it out to others to put in their bags. It made a big difference! If you're able to hand some of it out to your bridal party, I would suggest it! We also lucked out that one of our aunts and uncles are only taking one bag for the two of them so we're having them check one of our decoration bags! If you can pack as much in boxes or throw away luggage so you don't have to take it all back with you!

We leave in 6 days! I can't believe how fast time has passed. We finally got everything completed yesterday! All the OOT supplies and decorations are packed! Now to just to finish laundry and our packing lol. Congratulations to all the upcoming May brides! I look forward to reading all about everyone's special days! Can't believe it's our turn!

I would send her an email with photos of what you would like to do she should be able to tell you if those flowers are available etc. It's shouldn't be too late but I wouldn't risk providing that information at your meeting in the event that they're not available or they cost a lot. I emailed Jazmin about changing my flowers and she was quick to repsond saying whether they weren't available in that area. I think availability is the big thing.

We announced our engagement Easter of 2011 at dinner with my mom’s family. Not only did no one congratulate us except for my Grandma and mother but my cousin thought it necessary to sit us down and ask us to be surrogate for him and his wife.. He was completely serious! He tried to guilt us into it further by saying that his sister who already has a child and who was getting married the following August said she would do it so why wouldn't we? Seriously WTH! What makes you think that after announcing that we are going to be married next year that I would be up for carrying your child. It's just weird. And the fact that he was offended when we said no makes it even weirder. The same family members asked FI and I how much my engagement ring cost. At this point I was pretty irritated so I did say more than your car lol. I don't understand why ppl think it's okay to be so intrusive and rude.

I can't remember where I read this... But a bride had mentioned that she putting together a box of 50 destinations on vintage like paper and they were all the places they should travel over the next 50 years. I am adding my own spin to this and making a photo album/scrap book with 50 destinations, our first being mexico for our wedding and our last being our dream home. As we travel to each spot we will place a picture or two on that page of the album. That way we can flip through the album and see where we've been and still need to go. Some of the destinations I'm adding either one of us have travelled to just not together. I think it's going to be a lot of work but totally worth it! I also am running out of time!!

I’m getting married in May so my wedding isn’t that far out but I would be willing to get together and share my experiences and talk with other brides! I am in the Edmonton area as well.

I am so panicked! I still have the final touches to put on my OOT bags and a few other small things. The day's just don't seem long enough!
