We leave in exactly two months! I feel like I still have so much to do!!

My mom had wanted me to get a veil and i fell in love with one until I bought a birdcage veil on an impulse one day when I went in to try on my dress with some friends. I just don't feel a 100% sold on my birdcage anymore and with just over two months to the wedding I'm not sure if i will have time to order the veil I had my eye on originally! And if i do order a veil, I will have to change my hair plan. All these decisions! I love the look of the birdcage but there is just something so romantic about a traditional veil.

I just started on my OOT bags this week! I feel like I still have so much to do! I was thinking of shipping my items to mexico but was advised not to by some friends. What have you heard about shipping your items, I think in some ways it would be a lot less of a hassle!

Congrats! My wedding date is May 10th and I’m from Edmonton as well. Etsy has a lot of great items and usually the seller you’re dealing with can get them to you right away. I would suggest going to local bridal stores and find something you like and order it online. Off the top of my head I can’t think of any local jewelry stores, of course! I got my shoes at Army & Navy on Whyte Ave. They're probably starting to stock spring/summer items so you might have some luck there in the shoe department. Happy Planning!

When I inquired about having a private dinner I was told the minimum was 50 ppl. That's what we were originally leaning towards as well. We decided to go with the dinner that is provided and have the poolside reception instead and hopefully we will get the best of both worlds.

Great idea! I started my OOT shopping yesterday finally! We wanted to wait until everyone was confirmed etc. I went to Dollaram and found Advil 10 tablet containers for $2.00. They also had Tylenor 12 tablet containers for $2. FI prefers Advil over Tylenol so we went with the Advil instead. Found a few other things like chapstik with SPF. So far a good start to My OOT Bags!

Tlseege - Thank you for the information! I am bringing my own photographer as well, I've mentioned it to Jazmin and she didn't really seem to concerned so at this point I'm not too worried about it.

We’re torn with the whole AHR reception thing right now too. We’re getting a lot of pressure from my mom to have one because NONE of our family is coming to the wedding except for my parents and two sisters. I just feel like everyone who is coming to our wedding is making it a priority to be there and are there for the right reasons and they might feel ripped off if we were to host something formal when we get home. We might have a very impromptu BBQ or something to share our wedding photo’s but I’m not going to go out of my way to plan something extravagant for a bunch of people who didn’t come to our wedding because we didn’t do it the "right†way. I hope that didn’t sound bitter! We really do have a great group coming to the wedding and I couldn’t be happier but all the pressure for something I don’t want or the guilt trips for having a wedding away can be exhausting!!
