Personally, I just didn’t want to risk it with the salon, I’ve heard too many mixed reviews. I decided to bring in someone to do my hair & makeup, it’s just one of those things I’d rather not stress about. I can be VERY picky lol. I found them on this website and they have great reviews. They were a little more than what I wanted to pay originally, but when I reviewed their portfolio and read the reviews, they were exactly the style I was looking for. Good luck deciding! Go with your gut!

Wow, what a great number! We have 32 people coming. I’m having the same problem! We finally have everyone paid up so I’ working on sending out brochures with general resort info, a basic timeline of events and some luggage tags. Everything will be OK! Your wedding day will go off without a hitch!

That's too bad!! I've seen birdcage veils at Mars & Venus on whyte. Sometimes it's a hit & miss though. There is this girl our of Red Deer that also does some really nice hair accessories, she's on FB - Perch Designs. Not sure what her turn around time would be,but worht checking out. West Ed also just opened up hat store by the pirate ship that had a bunch of bird cage veils and other hair accessories. Likes some of the other girls said, check out Michaels, Claires and Aldo you never know you might find something! Have you thought about going into a bridal salon and seeing if you can buy off the rack?

This dress is beautiful on you! It's your wedding, there is no such thing as too formal when it comes to your wedding dress!!!! That being said, if you REALLY feel like this dress isn't the one, keep looking. You shouldn't have any doubts on your wedding day. I do think it is stunning though! I'm not sure where you're going to lose the 15lbs because you look great!

I agree with the other brides. I have my first dress fitting this evening. make sure you're prepared. If you still don't want to go in this early, contact your seamstress/bridal store and make sure they can have your dress ready for you by the time you leave with no rush charges. As Allie mentioned most places are ramping into wedding season and grad season depending on your seamstress or where you purchased your dress. I won't hurt to get started early and make sure you're prepared!

Sorry about the last post... What I meant to say: I went to Dollarama last night to see if they have the beach bags I was looking for and they did. They're a decent size with a zipper top and a lining. They had 19 of the ones I wanted and I need 22. Almost there! I also found some first aid kits for $1.25. I wasn't able to find them before and had almost given up and was going to make my own. The kit comes with 10 bandaids in different sizes, gauze, tape and antiseptic wipes. I should have taken a picture of the back with the listing of what's included. Overall a pretty productive trip to Dollarama. I was also at Winners during my travels and they had tons of eco/resuable bags. They were quite large and the material was somewhat similar to the reusable bags you can buy at Sobeys. Some of the bags said "Winners" on them but most didn't and were $1.49/ea. I considered buying them but they were a little too big and I really wanted bags with the zippers.
