    Just got word back from my resort and they do have some we can use there. Thank heavens!! Don't want to bring anything more down than we already are. lol!

    I was feeling exactly like you are a few months ago!! Isn't it frustrating?? We had given everyone a deadline of July 15th and of course, most of our guests booked that last week. We then extended our deadline until Aug 15th and a couple of people booked then. A few people are still talking about booking but want to wait until the rates get cheaper. The funny thing about that is, we have a price guarantee so if the rates drop, our guests will get the lower rates. Silly people!! FI kept telling me that as long as him and I are there, it doesn't matter who else comes and finally that sunk in.

    Congrats!! Happy planning! FI and I chose Melia Caribe Tropicale because we had been there before and loved it. We went for a wedding and it was a great experience. Three of my friends have gotten married at the resort and no one has had a bad thing to say. I figured that was a pretty good record!!

    I agree with Tori about Christmas Tree Shop. You can sign up online for an extra coupon, I think it's 10 or 20% off. I found most of OOT stuff there.

    We sent out an email invite with a timeline for booking and of course, eveyone waited until the last minute to book. What was frustrating for me was alot of people didn't bother to respond to the email. We sent several follow up emails because we extended the timeline to book and still some people didn't respond. Grrr! I was very upset about it originally and then FI helped me calm down and realize that if it was only the 2 of us, it would be great! Such a good fiance!

    Yes, you can get biodegradable ones Just got word back from our WC that we can do the sky lanterns!! Yay! Even better, FI loves the idea too!! Super excited we'll be releasing sky lanterns at our wedding!

    I went to my Giant Tiger store yesterday morning and guess what?? No bugs wipes!! Has anyone found them in the Halifax area??

    If there is ribbon on the cake, it is usually just pinned on the back. So if you take the pin out, you can cut your cake from that point. The ribbon, normally, doesn't get in the way and is pretty easy to put on and take off. Hope that makes sense!

    Those invites are beautiful Tori! Is the starfish template you used on the envelopes included in the templates on the thread? I absolutely love it and was worried I was not going to be able to find anything I liked. Hopefully, one day I'll get to 150 posts to download them!
