I am pretty sure I am getting my FI a watch. Just the other day he said he wanted a dress watch. He plays alot of sports so he has one for that. Hope he doesn't go out and buy one on his own before our wedding!! lol!

@Janet...thanks for the info. I will go check her out. No, I haven't said what my colours will be yet. I'm thinking pinks and blues. We're not having a wedding party...just the two of us at FI's request. My wedding shoes are teal and I am thinking I will get pink flip flops of some sort for after the wedding. Love those purses! So cute! If I was having a wedding party, I would definetly by getting those for my girls. Maybe I can just get one for me!!

Does anyone know if you can buy the stoppers seperately? FI and I have bought a sand ceremony kit from Michaels but no stoppers to keep the sand from leaking afterwards. Any ideas?

Love those fake starfish!! Hope Christmas Tree Shop still has them. What type of paint did you use to paint them? I would love to paint some of them turquoise to go with my colour scheme!

Hi Girls!! Just thought I would check in and see how everyone is doing and how your planning is going. Is anyone going to be doing a dinner at one of the restaurants instead of a reception? FI and I are planning on going this route and just wondering what restaurant would be best.

I'm a size 9! What are barefoot sandals? I've never heard of that before. Sounds interesting!! Yes, I've been to Melia before. There is a market a couple minutes walk down to the beach. All kinds of interesting things can be found there. Also, some vendors come onto the resort a couple nights a week and set up a market there. I am trying to remember what night it was but I can't.

Well, I get to go order them and they didn't have my size. Boo!! Guess the search continues! I do have teal slip on heels for the ceremony but I am hoping to find a pair of flats or wedges for after the ceremony.

Kyra, Thanks for allowing me to steal! LOL! I think I will have the hairdressers at the resort do mine since I am not very good at that stuff and go get makeup lessons. I showed my hairdresser a picture of wanted how my hair to be today and it needs to grow a lot longer for it. Lucky me! lol! Astef - love those shoes. Do you mind if ask where you got them? I was looking for flats and those are exactly what I am looking for!!

Love your ideas for the OTT bags!! I may have to steal some! lol!! You must be very excited that your wedding dress is in! I ordered mine in April but still no word yet on when it will be in. We were thinking of doing the same thing for hubby's outfit. Now, just to fund something he likes. I think he is way more picky than I am! That would be frustrating not being able to get your questions answered about the seating chart. I read a post on here where the bride translated her question into Spanish and then got her question answered that way. Are you getting your hair and makeup done at the resort? I'm pretty sure I'm getting my hair done there but not sure about the makeup. I've read a few not so good reviews about the makeup. So I'm thinking I may get a lesson or two at home first and doing my own.

Sorry this is happening to you. I am getting married at Melia in April 2012 and Heincy is my WC. The couple emails I have sent her, she has responded promptly. Maybe try asking your travel agent to get in contact with? Good luck!

Hi Kyra, I sent my WC an email today and got a response back today!! My mom can perform the symbolic ceremony for us. Yay!! I can't believe you have 53 people booked. That's great!! I was happy with my 17 people..lol! How is the rest of your planning going? What else do you have left to do? Jenn

Yes, that part of a destination wedding is great!! No, we aren't doing a video. At least I don't think so...We haven't really talked about that yet so that could change. So I don't have any information on that. The flowers are amazing! I do have a WC, Heinicy (I think that is how you spell it). We have exchanged a couple of emails but she is slow to respond. I just have to remember that they save very email you send so they know what you want. I forwarded my WC a picture of what I want, mostly tropical flowers in pinks and oranges. Have you sent your deposit yet? They usually assign a WC after that. Did you pick a package yet? We are going with the Tropical package. Wedding in garden gazebo and reception at the Italian restaurant. One of more question..lol!! Did you pick a dress yet? Jenn

I'm sure whatever you pick for the ceremony will be great. It looks like we are having a pretty small group come with us so, I think it works out better for us to stay at the resort for everything. Who is your WC? Mine hasn't replied to my email yet either. That is a tough decision!! I think it was a good idea to drop Flight Centre. I have used them a couple of times and they have been horrible to deal with. If it was me...I would probably go with the small company. I think Selloff is such a big company, they may not care as much. But with a small company, I would also be worried about them going out of business! Good luck with your decision!! I saw your post about arrriving one day before we leave. I'll definetly share my last minute tips. Are you getting your hair or makeup done at Melia?
