    Danid...I'm getting married there April 17!! I have been to the resort before and loved it! Several of friends have gotten married there and loved it too. That is one the reasons why and picked Melia. The scenery is amazing and the food was really good too. The resort is very large and lots of restaurants to chose from. The beach was great. Can't say enough good things about it. For the photography, one of our friends is a photographer, so he is coming down with us. Hope this helps!!

    Congrats!! You must be getting excited!! One of my friends had the private reception and loved it. It was in the Garden Gazebo. She was very happy with how everything turned out. I agree with you about the pricing that's why I decided to have mine (we're getting married there in April 2012) at one of the restaurants.

    I'd say so!! Have you gotten your dress yet? Any decisions made about the Jellyfish restaurant?

    I would take it if I were you. We are paying $1498. Our travel agent included a price guarantee that if the price of the trip goes down up to 60 days prior to our departure date, we get that rate. I'm really hoping it's going to go down!!

    We have booked. We were limited on the dates we could go...so we had to book. We are leaving from Halifax. Where are you leaving from? I've read some of the reviews for the Jellyfish restaurant and it looks really nice!! We're doing both at the resort. I've been to a wedding there before and it was beautiful.

    Hi Ladies! I am new to this website and we have booked our wedding at Melia for April 17, 2012!! So excited!! We have been to the resort before and loved it!! Can't wait for the big day. Question for you...Did anyone have a friend or a family member perform the symbolic cermomy? My mom is a priest and I was hoping to have her do the ceremony for me!

    Hi Everyone!! I am an April 17, 2012 bride. Yay!! We are getting married at Melia Caribe in Punta Cana. We have sent out save the dates out and I have ordered my wedding dress. Now we are just waiting on our guests to book.... So excited I found the website!!
