Do you like the ones from the states better? We were supposed to go yesterday but got off to a late start and didn't make it. So now the question is get the ones from Canadian Tire well there on sale or take the chance that walmart will still have them when I make it there.

So happy you found one! Its funny because I had found one similar to the one I choose but it was straight across a line and then when I found the dress with sweetheart cut it sealed the deal for me.

I think its to do with our travel agent. They have until the end of august to get there deposit in and then full payment by Dec. We are going to Varadero, Cuba.

I went in with a budget of $1000 and managed to find my dress for $945 with out a problem. But that is before tax alterations and all the other fun things that add up.

Its actually a 2be Bride dress by Kathy Ireland. Also if you zoom in on the pic you will notice that in some of the pick ups it has flowers with feathers on them. Wow the Mikaella is gorgeous I can see why you would be confused!! If you can check out my dress I love the extra flowers and feathers that it has makes it feel more beachy to me.

Never thought I would choose this style until I tried it on and fell in love with it... Ordering it this weekend and so excited!

We are just finishing our invitations today. It seems so early to send them out but to get our group rate they have to have a deposit in by Aug 26 so it only makes sense to do them now.

I believe it depends on whether the company is American or Canadian because I know in Canada booking a package is the only way to go where in the states it can be better to book separate. As well I know that with Canadian companies you do you get a refund on packages. @ Astef I would maybe go with the small company as you can deal with her face to face if something was to go wrong where with sell off its all over the phone and no personal connection or I may just be a big advocate of using the small companies lol. I went with a small company of only one lady doing all the work and I'm soo happy with her and feel like shes going the extra mile just to make sure I'm happy.

You looked amazing. I loved your hair might have to steal that style! Oh and how did your dress hold up in the sand I have the basically the exact same one but with flowers on it and am concerned about the train.

I would say take it and do as you please! I don't plan to tell anyone about it and we get it for every 11th person booked so we will get 3 to 4 people free. I am not going to count on it though because I have heard stories of brides putting it in there budget and then last minute having people back out so they don't get it and they have spent money that they don't actually have. If we do by chance get it we might pay for our niece to come so that way we have a flower girl. As well we are thinking of giving each person in our bridal party like $150 to $200 off just to say thank you.

You could always see if your TA offers a one time price drop. It seems that most compaines do and you have up to 60 days before departure to take the lower rate if one comes about. I know I personally thought about waiting but thought that the rates I was getting are probably gonna be the best that we can get as we are going on Ontario spring break. As well I would hate to have all direct flights booked up or something silly just because I waited.

Thank you sooo much! I will now be on the hunt for them! I was orginally going to do Bubba Kegs but appears that my numbers have jumped up by 15 to 20 people more then what I had thought would be coming so dollar tree mugs sound that much more cost friendly.

Just went on to Dollar Tree to see if I could find those mugs and no luck. How long ago did you buy them and prehaps do you have the description of them so I could maybe put that in the search.

Yup I'm aware of that but the rates that we got are valid until the end of July so that should give the people we really care about being there plenty of time to put down a deposit and then they don't have to pay in full until Dec. I am also making sure to advise people that we are going over spring break so to book early to avoid disapointment. As well for the slow pokes out there we will be holding those extra 30 spots just have to let her know how many to hold out of Vancouver and Toronto and we don't have to give names to those spots until December as well. Plus for us for every 10 people that book that 11th is free up to 4 people. So heres to hoping all of this will work out and we might still get a lower price if it drops at all up to 60 days prior to our wedding.

Just made a huge change and so happy that I did. Were now going to Cuba instead with a 6 hr flight and got great rates direct from Vancouver for $1560pp with taxes staying at the new Riu. Oh an even better part is we get to hold 30rooms for $600 and all of those rooms will be upgraded. So happy that I waited!

Just went from having nothing done but a resort picked to a whole action packed weekend of wedding. First thing done was changed my resort and country and am now booked in Cuba instead at the brand new Riu still for the same date of March 14, 2012. I also found my wedding dress and am so in love with it! Today is wedding invitation day so heres to hoping that my first DIY project will turn out great!

I am actually in the process of trying to cancel my deposit there. Decided the flight and hassle of driving down to Seattle was to much. So am now getting married in Cuba at new Riu with amazing prices. Turns out they haven't monopolized on weddings there yet!
