  1. I agree with everyone, beautiful pictures Rosemarie! I have a question about your reception... It looks like it is in Calabash. I was wondering about your centerpieces. Just wondering how what you got compares to what comes included in the private reception. I haven't really thought about the reception yet, and liked your table set-up and centerpieces.
  2. How is everyone deciding on quantity of items to order for their OOT bags if you don't have your booking or RSVP count yet? I have found some different items that I would like to start ordering and collecting now, but I have no idea how to guess how many I will actually need. Everyone says they want to go, but anything can happen until they actually put the money down. Just wondering how others are handling this.
  3. I used one of their beach stock images for the business cards and then customized and moved around all of the text, colors, fonts, etc. to make it what I wanted. Sorry I can't offer any suggestions to make it work. Maybe for my next project I'll try my own image.
  4. Hi Ladies! Anyone working on anything new for their wedding? I have to say that I have fallen in love with VistaPrint. I know I have so much time, but I am already taking advantage of their free stuff. I ordered business cards yesterday that I am going to use for my luggage tags. I just couldn't pass up the free part.
  5. Hi everyone! I'm a 2012 bride as well. We got engaged in January, and I know the time until July 2012 is going to fly. I look forward to getting to know everyone and bouncing ideas and frustrations off of each other.
  6. It is my understanding that the $18/person fee for each guest over the 8 is what covers the extra cake, champagne, etc. I don't think you pay anything else above that for each additional guest, unless you want other services that aren't included in the wedding package (ie. open bar, etc.). It seems like the size of the cake then is based on how many people will be attending and the resort will determine 2-tier or 3-tier. At least that is what we have gathered, hopefully someone can clarify if that is not correct.
  7. Very well said and I completely agree. Everyone has a different perspective on things, and there are really no details on what was wrong. Something major to one mother, might not be major to everyone. Your wedding will be everything you make of it with your friends and family. Like you said... no matter what at the end of the day you will be married to the love of your life!
  8. Tiffany - I can't wait until Memorial Day weekend either for you to bring back your review of everything...
  9. Love your save the dates Jamie! They turned out great! I contemplated doing a post card, but went with the boarding passes. They were not bad to put together, and I am really happy with how they turned out. I'll try to take a picture to share. I love wedideas.com's stuff. They are my first choice. Their prices seem very reasonable compared to other vendors, and especially compared to real flowers. I found a bouquet on there that I absolutely love. It is orchids, calla lillies and plumeria in tropical colors. I am glad to hear they are good to work with. I figure I'll be in touch with them soon, so that should be plenty of time to get everything done. I need to firm up the wedding party numbers before I can actually order anything. It sounds like we are all on the ball so far. Hopefully planning this far ahead doesn't cause me to go too overboard with stuff. There are just so many fabulous ideas on here.
  10. Yay for July brides! I haven't been called a crazy planner yet, but I am sure it will be coming. I am like you, I'd like to get as much done now and relax down the home stretch. I could be living in fantasy land on that though. Can you post a picture of your save the dates, I'd love to see them? I am sending ours out this week too; well on Saturday. They were my first DIY project. We want to give all of our guests as much time to save and plan as possible. We have the wedding confirmed at the resort, and I am hoping to be signing the contract with our travel agent today. It has been a long process getting that done. That is all I have done so far. The photographer is next on my list. I'd like to check off the bigger stuff and lock up my vendors. I'll probably also contact a couple of natural touch florists that I found. I'll start a roll call list, but anyone please feel free to copy, paste and update it anytime along the way... 7.21.2012 ~ delgadot ~ TBD, Jamaica 7.22.2012 ~ IslandBride201x ~ Iberostar Rose Hall Suites, Montego Bay, Jamaica 7.28.2012 ~ jamieirene ~ Riu Caribe, Cancun, Mexico
  11. Even though we have about 15 months to go, I thought I would start a thread for any July 2012 brides. I hope I didn't miss it if someone already started one. We are getting married July 22, 2012 at Iberostar Rose Hall Suites in Montego Bay, Jamaica. I can't wait!!!! Anyone else getting married in July 2012?
  12. Who are you using for your real touch flowers? I have found a couple online, but would love the website of who you are using to look at her work. Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the welcome everyone! It seems so far away, but you are right it is going to fly by.
  14. Your agenda sounds wonderful! Everyone is going to have a fabulous time. You and your guests are going to remember how much fun the whole event was.
  15. That is fantastic that you have that option! I hadn't even thought about where we would sleep the night before. We have plenty of time to figure it out, but one more thing to add to the list to think about. This list seems to get longer by the minute...
  16. I can see how it is easy to get carried away with all of the extras. We are hopefully not going to go too overboard with extras. There are a couple of things that I feel obligated to do since our guests are paying so much money to come to the wedding, but I think the beautiful resort and natural scenery will help to make it a beautiful event without going too crazy.
  17. Hi Everyone, We got engaged in January and this forum has already been such an asset. After a lot of round and round, we finally decided on Jamaica to get married. We have our confirmed date, and I can't wait to send the save the dates out. I look forward to exchanging ideas with everyone. All of the brides are so creative, I love seeing all of the fabulous ideas. ~ Kim
  18. Wow... everything is beautiful! You have so many wonderful ideas, and they all turned out fabulous!
  19. Hi Sunshine, I heard back from Nicole and confirmed that yes the taxes are included in everything except the flowers.
  20. Thank you for putting this thread together. There are so many elements that I love. Everything looked absolutely beautiful!!!
