  1. Congratulations!!! You look beautiful! Thank you for clarity on the private reception cost concern.
  2. Thank you everyone for all the suggestions! There are some great one here, it is going to be tough to decide.
  3. Hi Sunshine, I'm still waiting to hear from Nicole to confirm. I read through everything again and I am pretty sure you are right. I'd love to remove that line in my budget and see the cost drop...
  4. I am under the same understanding. The $800 includes dinner for up to the number of people specified for the particular restaurant. I thought the only additional charges to that would be open bar, musicians/DJ... things like that if you chose to include them. I thought the $18/person charge was for the wedding portion above the 8 people.
  5. I'm glad I'm not the only one that did that. I added 10% to the 2011 pricing, hoping that is the maximum it would go up. I'll keep my fingers crossed it doesn't go up that much. I also added in a service change and taxes for now until I hear back from Nicole that it is included. I am hoping that I have padded the totals enough so there are no surprises next summer.
  6. I have another question that hopefully someone can help me with. I was going to email Nicole, but I figure I will get a quicker response here... I noticed in the wedding package information it mentions that the tax and service charge is included in the price of the wedding. I couldn't find a reference to tax and service charge in the other packets Nicole sent me, such as private reception, DJ, etc. Does anyone know if they are included in the prices given or are they additional fees? I have them in my budget as additional, but figured it is worth checking.
  7. Only our wedding is booked right now. Our travel agent is working on the rooms now... or at least that is what she told me she is working on. She did not lead me to believe there would be a wait in booking our rooms, so I will have to follow-up with her again. Maybe there is something she has neglected to pass along to me about not actually booking the rooms. That is great to hear PrincessJ about your timing and everything working out. I'm not going to worry about it... they do so many weddings and seem to sell out throughout the year. The reviews are so positive, I am sure it will all work out.
  8. @Lizk23, I am sorry this has been so stressful for you. I agree with eholt... find a good TA. This is just my experience so far in the very early stages, but our TA has been able to track that information down for us and we are booked for July 22, 2012. We can't do anything with airfare until August/September, but getting some of the pricing didn't seem to be a problem. Good luck, I hope you can find someone to help you and put your mind at ease.
  9. Hi everyone! I wanted to introduce myself as a new Rose Hall Suites bride. We just received confirmation that we are booked for July 22, 2012. This board has already been so valuable in helping us choose the resort and getting a lot of our questions answered while we waited to hear back from Nicole. Such a relief to cross the location and date off of the list. Now on to Save the Dates.
