Thanks Diana! The Jason Mraz is our first dance song, the rest are just ones we think are adorable!! The "Love Story" has special significance because it always made my FI think of me, but it took on a huge meaning for him when it came on, literally (at least as he tells the story!), when he walked into the jewelry store to buy my ring. Believe it or not, when I tried on "the" dress, it came on too. Soooooooo, for my walk up the aisle I found an amazing violin/piano version of it. Hey ladies!! So I sent out the STD's with our date and DW location (Riviera Maya) back in early January. I wanted to let people know a year in advance so they could begin saving. I also including wedding website info with some preliminary info (engagement photos, Riviera Maya location information, AHR information) and a note that we would be updating in mid-February once we were able to get some rate information and chose a resort. Well that day has come! So I am planning on sending out postcards that I printed from VistaPrint "Greetings from Paradise" (I will also be putting in them in OOT bags since there is 100 of them!) as reminders to check the site since we have updated it with TONS of TA, travel, and resort info. Soooooooo...... 1. Could you lovely ladies be so kind as to tell me what you think of the site!? 2. Teresa is amaaaaaaazing! I am using her for my Playacar Palace wedding in January. I talked to two other TAs (and attempted a 3rd but they never got back to me) and none were as easy to work with and responsive as her. I also talked to two other brides from PP who used her and they raved.

Hey there! I'm getting married at Playacar Palace in Playa del Carmen and had the same concerns as you. I have a 17 year old, 8 year old and twin 5 year olds that will be traveling with their parents, and my FI and I wanted to get married on the beach. Palace Resorts also has a great complimentary wedding package, and perks based on how many rooms or room nights your party books (i.e. comp nights, cocktail hour or reception after the wedding). I did a ton of research and PP was the absolute best fit for me.

Kateks, have you talked to a TA? My wedding is in Playa del Carmen 1-6-12 and we were able to get a rate of a little over 200/night/guest for an AI resort

Couch to 5k is a running program that you can download onto your iPod or iPhone that helps get you in running shape. It's an interval running training so you're constantly tricking your body up and you're getting into the shape needed to do some serious running

We sent our STDs out in the beginning of January so as to give the guests enough time to save. Worked a TON on the wedding website, and we are inthe process of updating since we chose a TA (thank God!) and just sent in the group contract to reserve a block of rooms at our resort. To the ladies sending out the STDs, when are you sending out your invites? I don't think I put enough info on the STDs and kinda assumed/hoped that people would just keep an eye on the site and I could update people that way - which is NOT the case. I think we are going to send out a brochure-type announcement with the resort and TA info since Vistaprint is always running specials for free ones.

Hey everyone!! Sending in the group booking contract this weekend and putting the deposit down for the room block! So exciting - it's starting to feel soooooo real!

Brenners I love it!!! So I have been working on building my strength back up (I hadn't worked out in forever) and now I am starting the 30 Day Shred with Jillian Michaels. Did Day 1 today with 5 lb weights. Feeling good, actually feeling so good that as long as I am able to walk tomorrow, I may move up to 8 lb weights at Day 5 of Level One instead of coasting through! I'm definitely on a bit of a time crunch since I promised my photographer/best friend that we would do my boudoir shoot waaaaay early (April 3rd!) so that she could build up her portfolio in that area as she is starting to get more and more weddings booked. Gotta get it right, get it tight!

I really like this!!! We were thinking of doing places in Mexico vs table numbers for our AHR - i.e. Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, Cabo, etc. But this is sooooooooooo cute!!!!!!

I was told that the docs would have to be translated, so there would be additional fees. Double check with your WC, but my FI and I decided when all was said and done to have a symbolic ceremony and do the legal (veryyyyy quietly) when we get back. No one would be any the wiser

I am in a similar situation!!!! My sister is my MOH and my FI's best friend is the best man. But----I have two step sisters (17 & 20), one brother (20) and two step brothers (20 & 26), not to mention my FI's brother (23). There was no way to include everyone, especially because this doesn't even take into account close friends! I'm trying to think of a way to at least get my two step-sisters involved since I am not having a bridal party.

So as long as it's extended for 2012 I think we should be able to!

Welcome!!! I am January 6, 2012 (Little Christmas!) and we are also doing the complimentary wedding. My best friend is a phenomenal photog so she will be doing our pics, and we will be adding on the videographer. I'm not sure what we are going to be doing as far as a DJ is concerned because we are having an AHR the week we return so Idk if I really want to shell out all that $$. I think if we do qualify for a free event, then I would go for the iPod at the reception. I also got chair sashes from another BDWer from the freecycle forum on here so I can dress up the setting a bit! How has your communication been with the WC? I haven't needed to contact her at all - we still have quite a bit of time, especially for a DW!
