Thanks Ladies. I think we may end up changing our date as well. I would like to hold out and see if the prices drop but I think it may be too risky. What if the prices don't come down...yikes!? We are working with a TA and this is what I am being told by her. Thanks!

I have been searching for a resort in the Playa Del Carmen area and I have not found any prices under $1800/person all inclusive. Is this normal? We are looking to have a destination wedding for the end of January 2012 but it seems way out of our guests budget at that price. I have been told that the prices are inflated for 2012 but this seems crazy! We will be a group of about 150 guests and I figured that there would be some sort of discount or incentive for such a large group. is this unreasonable? I have looked at every resort in the area and it all seems the same. Does any one out there have any suggestions or know why prices are so high? Is it just me? Any input or guidance would be greatly appreciated!
