  1. I played around a bit with other sites and then finally decided on weddingwire. I loved the fact that I could incorporate my registry and guest list, plus it has tons of room for pictures, had a great layout, and played music. I got all my ideas for my own site from the other BDWers! There's tons of threads on this to help! www.weddingwire.com/kristynandjohn
  2. This MAC is right down the street from my resort - I'd love to know if anyone has or is planning to use it!!
  3. Contests = congrats, lol. Stupid word predictor!!

You can definitely get it on iTunes. It's the version from the "Casa Nova sessions" so just type into your search bar "I'm Yours Casa Nova" - I just tried it out and it came right up! Contests on possibly picking your song! I know it's perfect for us. We wanted something different, sweet, and playful - just like us
  5. I think it's definitely your preference. I'm having a "shoes optional" ceremony - with a little mat saying just that for guests to leave their shoes plus two paint brushes tied with aqua blue ribbon to brush the sand off (I got that idea from a fellow BDWer!) I'll be barefoot for the ceremony, flip flops for afterwards, and ballet slippers for my AHR. Good luck, and happy planning!!!
  6. I'm loving this page! I too am very competitive, and if left to my own devices will slack, slack, slack! I actually got up this morning and worked out...and tomorrow morning, when the alarm goes off and I want to hit snooze - Ima think about how I want to post that I had two days in a row! Yaaa for us!
  7. Check out weddingwire.com - they have some great song examples!!!!! And thanks Lisa, I love it!!
  8. Oh lord I am not that handy! Any chance yours is aqua? Lol
  9. Coco - that's an awesome plan!!! I had never heard about the Power90 - I'll have to look into that! My FI did P90X before and I couldn't believe how crazy it was. I was so intimidated, so maybe that would be better! My biggest problem is that I love to run. But I also despise the cold. (So Merrylee I hear ya!!) And I live in Philadelphia. Hahaha. I need to start doing something else though for sure. Love the pole dancing class too!
  10. Congrats on the starting Weight Watchers - and a BIGGER congrats on 1 week not smoking! I quite smoking in March 2009 - oh my gosh, I can't believe it'll be 2 years already! I smoked a pack a day for over 10 years, so believe me it wasn't easy, but it was (and is) sooooo worth it. I'm not sure how much cigarettes are in your area, but I had estimated I spent about $7 a day going to get cigarettes(lighters, gum, change that gets lost). I started transferring that amount of money every morning for not smoking the day before. That was $200 going into my savings account just from not smoking - not to mention the health benefits. It's not always easy, but you can totally do it! Just don't pick it up!
  11. Hey there!! First, congrats on booking your date!!! From the pictures I have seen (check out the 2009 & 2010 Playacar Palace Bride thread) the complimentary package is absolutely amazing all on its own. After breaking down the costs, since I don't need a photographer package, fireworks, etc - I would have been paying 2k for decorations on the sapphire collection when the white is breathtaking all on its own when set against that backdrop. I am bringing down aqua chair sashes with me - still deciding on anything else! You definitely have some time to figure it out And Tanya, where did you find the starfish decorations on your aisle chairs? They are awesome!
  12. Thanks JR!! And I still can't believe how beautiful BOTH dresses looked on you! I'm so glad everything worked itself out
  13. No worries!! God bless you with the P90x. My FI did that before, and I would lift my spoon to my mouth in a show of support, lol! Between my work and my commute, I am out of the house from 7am-7pm so I don't even bother with a gym membership. I try to get up early in the morning and work out at home before work - just need to get more consistent!
  14. 3 lbs in 2 weeks is awesome! Congrats - when is your wedding?
  15. I couldn't agree more! I think that I'm just going to use the yellow as an accent color bc of that. My main will be the aqua
  16. Okay, so I wanted to take a page from the 2011 brides and throw out some group support behind wedding weight loss. I'm now a little bit less than a year away from my wedding, so it's time to get cracking. I've always struggled with being consistent with a workout and diet routine. I don't want to be worried about whether my dress is going to look right, concerned about whether I'll be in enough shape to do that boudoir shoot I'm dying to give my FI as a wedding present, or feeling self conscious about wearing a bikini in front of a ton of people. Bottom line - I want to be in the best shape of my life for my wedding. I'm hoping that we can support each other in keeping aligned with our weight loss/fitness goals. For myself, I need to tone more than anything - and that means learning how to be consistent with working out!!!
  17. Congrats girl!!!! I had to plan my colors around a beach wedding AND an AHR. I'm getting married in January which means it will be freezing back here in Philly for my reception, so I had to keep that in mind when picking my colors. I felt like anything toooooo tropical (i.e. orange and fuschia) would look awesome in Mexico, but would not translate well to a formal AHR. Same thing with tooooo formal a theme for the AHR - wouldn't translate well to a beach wedding. Soooo, I went somewhere in between. I decided on aqua/tiffany blue, lemon yellow, and white - think aqua/tiffany blue BM dress with a yellow and white bouquet. The lemon yellow will be more of an accent color than anything else. 20. Here is mine! It looks a bit Scarlett OHara in the pic, but with a flower in the hair it's perfectly senorita-ish for my Mexican wedding!!!!!!!!
