My name is Janielle and I will be your new contact. Please see below my responses in blue. Dear Mrs.Pringle, I hope you are having a wonderful day. I have a lot of questions for you. 1. I was hoping the day before the wedding I could schedule all of my guest to have dinner at the Japanese Restaurant. Right now I believe there will be about 20 people total (including me and groom) This will not be a problem, however I won’t be able to confirm this with you until at least a month in advance 2. One of my guest birthday is on September 10th so I was hoping we could order a cake? Most definitely What are the choices? Chocolate, Vanilla & Strawberry Cheese cake Any ideas of something else we could do would be great! Well if you don’t mind sharing your special day with her you can dedicate a toast to her during your reception, or you can arrange for both of you to get massages together. (P.s if it’s a male then the toast would work or an in room courtesy (for both male or female)) (Her birthday is really the 11th, the day after the wedding. Do you guys know of anything I could do? I was thinking maybe go to Margaritaville but reading there reviews I am not sure.) 3. I wanted to have the reception at the gourmet restaurant. Is it possible to have that area private while we eat. Of course you can but it will only be for 1 and ½ hrs, starting at 6:30pm or 9:00pm. 4. I also wanted chiavari chairs. Is it $15 per chair?   2. I am in the process of sending my invitation out probably by the end of April. I asked for RSVP's by June 30. The wedding planner at the resort starts planning 2 months before the wedding. So I figure i can give the guest 2 months to RSVP and I have 2 months to plan logistics. I do have some people who say they are coming and still have not booked. Right now I only have 11 people booked plus us 2. Prices seem to be going up but it is what it is.

  6. Hey Ladies, This is the quote I received from Tai flora. I think its pretty high. What do you guys think? I probably will still use them however. Does anyone know why the last one is so high? Or those orchids hard to come by?   7. Islandgirl910 you have been reading my mind with that statement. Our wedding is on 9.10.11 and we only have 6 people booked and my TA says that prices are going up. I sent save the dates out 11 months in advance. I knew going into this that everyone would not be able to make it, but I was hoping for at least 15-25 people. I have started thinking about an AHR so we can celebrate with everyone who didnt make it. However an AHR is a couple more thousand dollars. I'm trying not to stress out about it and just get people excited!
  8. Sorry ladies, I was so happy to find out 9.10.11 was open. Time is starting to fly now. At first it was barely moving and it seemed like I could not plan anything because the date was to far. Now, I am rushing to do everything. So far I have my photographer Ivan Luckie who is flying in from Mexico. He is on this site. I also have a videographer who is coming in from Mexico. ( I do not like the images from digipix) I sent out my save the dates back in October and I will be designing the invitations, programs, and menus with Rebecca from Allurements by Rebecca in February. I do not have my dress yet because I waiting to see how much weight I can lose. I am awaiting quotes from Tai Flora for the decorations. I just ordered the aisle runner because I want to have the ceremony on the staircase. I have the luggage tags done and send those out once people book their rooms. I have designed the pre-travel brochure and waiting for that to come in the mail. And I have a few thing for the welcome bags: hand sanitizer, post cards, and wrist-lets. With all of this done, there still is so much to do. A lot of my planning depends on how many people come. I do not want to order things and not have enough or to much. What have you done so far. Congrats girls and cant wait to see you in September!!!

  10. Thanks Sharan, That is exactly what I am looking for. Like Jules23 said, If that includes the flower and candle $20 is not bad. I will start sending them some pictures to get quotes.

  12. I also have a few close friends whose birthday are the day after the wedding. I hope someone can give us some suggestions. Since our wedding is in Jamaica, we might just go to the famous Rick Cafe for the birthdays.

  15. Ms. DeAngelis2be, I have no idea. I only have 2 people booked so far besides me and FI, but people who I did not even think will come are saying they are. I am thinking we will have about 25-30. When we first started I was hoping for 10 people.
  16. Hi everyone, I found my perfect save the dates from zazzle. I spoke with the designer to change the colors to my wedding colors. They are a big hit with family and friends. I have about 7 designs and I probably should have picked 1 but I am using them all! Hope you guys like. Let me know!

  18. For any of you girls still looking for a travel agent, I totally recommend Kelly Davis with Go Iberostar also! She is a pleasure to work with. She will match any price you find. She uses Funjet vacations but offers a lower rate that you can find online. The price also includes round trip transfers from the airport to the resort. Kelly actually owns the company and is the only person I have ever spoke with at Go Iberostar. Also another good thing, you only have to put $150 deposit per person and then finish the balance a few months before the vacation. I only have her price info for the Grand but if someone want it just let me know. I hope this helps, LaToya

  20. I go with dinner. Since there will not be any music, why not have the entertainment of speeches. You shouldn't even worry about the other guest at dinner. I'm glad you asked this. Now thats 1 more thing off of my check list.
