Hey Sarah, We also have been going around and around about this same issue. Our BM's are wearing bright deep purple dresses (Alfred Angelo 7122 you can google it and see the purple color and the sash will be ivory). My dress is also ivory. Since the BM's dresses have ivory sash on them our GM will be wearing ivory shirts with khaki colored pants as well as the groom. To stand out the groom will wear a suite jacket (Khaki color) for pictures and wedding ceremony. I hope this helps.

Question for everyone: I was under the assumption that having the reception at one of the pool locations or beach was free, but that renting out the Seaside Grill was $750. I received a email from Aurora stating that if I wanted a private event (not WorldCafe or Theme Night) that it would cost an additional $750.............. Here is her email response: **You have booked the Basic Wedding In Paradise Package, is possible to make a reservation for the Buffet Restaurant or Theme Night for the wedding dinner without additional cost or if you want to include a private event for dinner is required to pay $750usd for the location + Menu (silver or Golden per person) The Dinner is for 3 hour and include the drinks for the 3 hours.

OMG I so happy that I am not the only one out there experiencing this frustration!! I absolutely loved my TA in the beginning as she was no non-sense straight to the point, but I have had complaints from my guests and I wish she would keep in touch and let me know when people book. I feel like I am bothering my TA when I email her requesting an update on bookings. And my FI has called her a few times to pay money towards our booking and she does not return his call!! WTF! But then today when I email her asking if she could send me a list of all my guests flight arrival/departure times she leaves me this voice mail stating that resort does not need that and that she does not have time to look up and send me the info on 40 peoples bookings!!! Really that is what I am paying her and as well as my guests for! UGHGHGHGGH Okay I feel better venting. I am waiting until tomorrow to call her back otherwise I would be giving her a piece of my mind about her way she spoke on my voice mail!

On each bag I will be putting the guest(s) name on the tag. I do not think you have to write who it is from. How will the guests be getting the bags? Will they be delivered to their resort rooms by resort staff or will your daughter and fiance be welcoming them and handing out the OOT bags? We plan on welcoming our guests as they arrive to the resort with the OOT bags.

My girls will be barefoot at the ceremony and then I am letting them choose any type of ivory shoe to wear at the reception. Some of them like to wear heels some don't. This way they can just choose shoes that are comfortable to them but just in an ivory color to match with part of their dress.

On the day that two of my bridesmaids were coming with me to look at wedding gowns I had them meet me at my house. When they walked in I had a bouquet of flowers and a card for each of them asking them to be in my wedding. One of my other bridesmaids lives out of state so I had flowers delivered to her work asking her to be in my wedding. Each card had a different poem or saying asking them to be in the wedding. They seemed to like it.

My colors are going to be purple and green (lime) as well!!! Too bad I am getting married on the 16th!! Otherwise I would have totally taken you up on the laterns offer!

Question for everyone............. So I was reading the new Dreams 2011 wedding guide and it states that receptions at either pool location is 50 ppl max. The only options they have for weddings with over 50 ppl is the beach, Seaside Grill (must pay the $750 if you want it to be private) or the ballroom (um no thanks I do not want to be inside unless it is raining!!). We are expecting 50+ guests to come and I have been wanting to have the reception at the Dolphin pool. Now my question is does this rule not matter if I booked in 2010 or am I having to go by the 2011 rules/prices?

Hey ladies do you know what type of throw flowers (for the aisle & flower girl) Dreams allows to be used? Silk or freeze/dried?
