Regan/Blondy - I haven't heard of The Dressroom yet - will put that on my list if I don't find one at my first store. I'm planning on going to Your White Dress (near Yorkdale Mall) first as that's where every dress is $299 (here's the link incase you hadn't heard of it Your White Dress ? Discount Wedding Dress Outlet). The Bride's Project is also another on the list. They actually carry new dresses as well as used. A friend of mine got hers brand new there for $350 a couple of years ago.

just saw this now! glad to hear they took care of you and gave you a new and better ring! what a scare though!!! and what a pain too! i had to leave my ring at our store several weeks ago to have my loose diamond fixed. i was paranoid the entire week thinking they might change my diamond or something.. thankfully all is a-ok. (my diamond is engraved with a serial# so that we'll always know for sure that it's mine) i'm anxious to see what your new ring looks like!

Welcome Kendall!!! Congrats!! I'm in the process of booking my wedding at the Riu Negril in Jamaica. Prices right now seem a bit better there than the Riu Ocho Rios, it's kid friendly and i do believe the gazebo is right by the beach - not 100% sure on that but i'm pretty sure. Happy planning!!!

i haven't even really thought about going dress shopping yet, but i'll probably be nervous as well when the time comes. we're trying to do this dw on a very tight budget so i promised myself i'd spend under $500 on the dress. it just so happens i found out about a store in Toronto (near me) where every single dress is brand new (from collections from 2008 or older) and every single dresss is $299!! i don't think i'm going to be very picky so i've decided that once i have the cash saved up, i will go. ..i'm also trying to put off my dress shopping as long as possible because i'm not very good at keeping secrets from my FI - especially if it's something i'm excited about!!! keeping the dress a secret will be a BIG DEAL for me!!! lol
