  1. These clam shell boxes are perfect for what we are looking for. Thank you for posting!
  2. Wow, all of these projects turned out great! I especially love the tank tops and bouquets. They are perfect!
  3. I just picked up two DIY wedding books at the library. They have some really cute ideas and I thought I'd share. The DIY Bride Crafty Countdown - Khris Cochran The Paper Bride - Esther K. Smith I've found a lot of valuable resources at the library. They have wedding planning books, jewelry making books and even wedding CDs.
  4. That's a really nice idea! I think you'll inspire others to do the same. Thanks!

I was leaning towards just us and immediate family and a Hawaiin waterfall. Now to accomodate everyone we are doing a family friendly resort for 2 weeks in Mexico and people still arent booking - what can I do to get them to book? sorry I am just really regretting my decision, wished we had said f off to everyone and just went to Hawaii and spent half of what we are spending for a wedding that isnt what either one of us wants! We are about 7 months away and only immediate family has booked so far. I think it is the nature of most people to wait. I'm sure tons of people will be booking their trips soon.
  6. Our first venue fell through because they kept raising prices on us even though a contract had been signed. We had to start over and find something else b/c we were just fed up. I think the lack of control factor is my biggest source of stress. Although you could have a wedding in the states and any number of things can go wrong. I'm not terribly stressed now that we straightened this out though.
  7. I really love this idea! We plan to do our table number by taking photos of numbers in the sand.
  8. Sounds like a lot of people have had luck with this site. Thanks for posting the information. We will definitely look into it.
  9. Welcome to the forum and congratulations! You're fortunate to be in Houston where it is so accesible to get places. We are getting married in Isla Mujeres off the coast of Cancun. We have a bunch of guests coming from the Houston area (my boyfriend's friends and family) and such a short flight for them and direct into Cancun airport. I'm sure there are lots of other ideas on this forum for you guys though. Good luck with your search!
  10. Welcome and congrats! I've only been to the RIU Palace in Playa Del Carmen and loved it! Hmmm, tough decision here. We loved Cabos. But we are getting married in Isla Mujeres close to Cancun because it's just more accessible for our guests. Cabos would be tons of fun though.

    Hello

Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Happy planning!
  12. Wow, these are so impressive. I was toying around with the idea of using the trial microsoft publisher program. Have you used MS Publisher to make anything else for your wedding?
  13. I think my mom will throw a casual backyard type shower for me that won't cost a whole lot. It will mostly be for friends and family who won't be making it to the wedding. And of course, I don't expect gifts from my friends who are coming. I have already made that clear to them. I am just happy they are coming to my wedding.
  14. Same here. We booked our trip from NJ (Newark) a few months ago for $350 non-stop. Now prices have skyrocketed. I'm just hoping they go down. I think guests are going to have to make a stop if they don't want to pay a huge amount for their ticket.
  15. Nicole, those programs look great! Very unique. Thanks for posting the link to your template.
