  1. I also got an email from Sue, I guess my original messgae went to her junk box. I'm rounding up some ideas and will be sending them off for her. Thanks again for the email address and the help. Cheers
  2. Our DW is still a while away but a stressor of mine is actually my FI. lol I keep trying to sit down with him and "include him in decisions" and such, and he keeps giving me the "WE HAVE A YEAR, THERE IS LOTS OF TIME" Seriously I don't want to hear that anymore. I'm a fairly anal person and like to have things organized, so I don't think it's a big deal to start planning now. Besides, I want to find deals on summer stuff so if I know what I want now, I can research and find stuff when it does go on sale and know it's a good sale! Is that asking too much? Anyway, I guess it's not a stressor as other people have, but it's my urgggg moment right now! Cheers,

For me, my entire order was right around $100 CAD including shipping and customs, and that was for 2 dozen raffia fans, 2 dozen white parasols, 2 dozen flip flop keychains and 2 dozen neon coil keyring holders! Now the only question is how long will the order take to arrive... says 10-13 business days, so hopefully they get here within 3 weeks =) sorry to be a pain, but where on OT did you find the key chains and the other items? I was looking but not sure if my lack of patience today stopped me from finding it or I'm just website challenged! Thanks good work on getting all that stuff, good deals Cheers,
  4. I'm keeping my fingers crossed and best wishes to anyone that has been affected by this! I can't even imagine how I would be in this situation. I think we're dealing with AirTransat (but we don't go till Jan 2011). I wish everyone the best of luck re -routing and hopefully you can still have a wonderful vacation/wedding! cheers

I told my TA to check again in June and that I'm not locking in prices until they are closer to the $1500-1700 range which I am told probably won't drop to that until the fall. I would have a very hard time waiting until the fall to book a group package. Are you having a lot of people at the wedding? I was quoted about $1700 for a couple places in DR & Mexico (4 & 5) star for Jan-March. $3000 seems rediculous! We were quoted Bahia Pricipe DR end of Jan for $1600 from Flight Centre & Marlin Travel. Have you thought about trying a differnet TA? or resort? (sometimes the Dreams/Beaches ones are overpriced due to commercialism) Just a thought. Best of luck, Cheers, Cheers

I will try emailing her again after the long weekend. Maybe she is just out of the office. I even told her I wanted exactly what you have LOL just to make it easy for her. Not sure if it makes it better or worse, but I emailed Sue last week to and haven't heard back from her either. Best of luck with the mugs! Cheers,
  7. Hi Patricia, Congratulations on the Engagement and the wedding! Hope your planning is going well so far. This site is great, there are so many ideas and things I would have never even thought of if it weren't for this site. Happy Planning, cheers,

I went to one store yesterday and they didn't have much of anything. Some really nice luggage tags with initials on it, but that won't work for me. I'm going to keep looking. If anyone from Ontario- Toronto/Brampton/Newmarket area finds any good deals let me know! Cheers,
  9. thre is another thread on here regarding Canadians and OOT mugs/where to get. Most people are talking discountmugs.com, 4imprint or there may be a couple other websites they mentioned. I'll try looking for it, but keep your eye out as there is another thread with lots of discussion and info on what other Canadians have done. My FI and I are keeping our eyes peeled for bubba kegs on sale. If that doesn't go through, we're probably going with discountmugs.com. They seem to be the most reasonable (shipping/duty and all). Good luck with your search! Cheers,
  10. thanks for posting this! I've also bookmarked it... can't wait to try some of them out! Cheers,

    Hi

welcome and enjoy the forum, happy planning!
  12. Welcome Canadian Groom! congrats on the engagement... You will no doubt find lots of great stuff on this site, and enough brains to pick! Cheers and happy planning.

It would be great to know how it works out if you do go with the Bubba's. Cheers,

Things have just been so busy but we really need to get on it! Lol. Bikegirl-- I'm north of TO. Orangeville, but we used Marlin Travel. We originally were drawn to Marlin b/c if you've got enough Airmiles points saved up you can redeem them for vouchers towards your trip. Each 360(roughly) points get's you $50 off. I've had no problems with our TA. We also went to a Flight Centre and the TA we dealt with there was nice too.

I'd love to know how you make out with your wedding, and how you've been dealing with the WC and the resort. Congrats! Enjoy
  16. Hi Everyone, Just wanted to put a quick shout out 'cause I'm very excited! My FI and I were in last week and booked our wedding week Jan 24-31st 2011 to the Royal Decameron, Panama. The WC just got back to me and we've confirmed our Wedidng Date Jan 26th, 2011 at 5pm on the BEACH!!!!! Yeah!!!!
  17. Congrats !!!! Hope you had a wonderful vacation and the wedding went well. Pics?? It's hard enough getting back into the swing of things on a typical Monday but I can completely see how it would be a "manic monday" since you've been away for so long. All the best, !

It seems Punta Cana is the cheapest so I think we're going to go with that. The prices are so deceiving with our killer taxes. $800 suddenly becomes several hundred more! Another question (i'm full of them!), did you ladies decide on a date before looking at prices or after? Originally I was thinking Apr/May. However, it seems March is actually the cheapest month for PC at least, this year. I'm surprised as I would've though spring break time is one of the highest priced. My FI and I went in to our TA with a "general timeframe" but really were looking at what week/month was cheapest. We were looking anywhere from end of Jan till mid April. Found that the end of Jan was the cheapest (our TA found anyway). I don' t know what TA you're using but keep in mind if you find a lower package at selloffvacations or itravel200 take it to your TA maybe they can match it. That's what we did with ours! saved us about $100 a person. Good luck with the planning! Cheers
  19. those were ones I was looking at also. I still have some time to order (or find) my mugs but it's great to see pics of ones that you've been looking at (minus the actual website). Thanks for posting! cheers
  20. almost bought this dress for my beach wedding! tried it on and everything. it is a beautiful dress. good luck with the sale, whoever get's it will be very happy. Cheers,
  21. Sorry I can't answer your question but wanted to say welcome to the forum, and congrats to your BF. Cheers
  22. They are all so great, I can see why you're having a hard time choosing. I like 3, 5, 10 & 15 the best. Cheers,
