  1. Maybe sign up for a 5 k and see what you think. Races are a win-win situation. The money is always for charity and you do something that makes you feel good about yourself.

I mean don't get me wrong, I seriously hurt afterwards and the whole rest of the day after a 1/2 I am a lazy butt who soaks in the tub and then sits on the couch all day. But you do feel so good for having finished it. You get the "runner's high" and feel proud of yourself. Plus races are great, so many supportive people cheering you on and runners are an awesome friendly bunch.
  3. Congratulations!! I hope you have an amazing day. Can't wait to hear all about it.
  4. Congratulations Lindsay. You are going to be a gorgeous bride. Can't wait to see the pictures and hear all about it. Hope you have a wonderful day!!
  5. Thanks for the review. Your photos are beautiful!
  6. Renee, sounds like you have an amazing weekend planned. That's awesome. Today is weigh in day. Though since I have been regularly doing my weigh in on the Saturday morning, I will stick to that so I am consistent. My week has been okay. I have been sick so I haven't been eating too much but the downside of that is I also haven't been exercising. I hope everyone has a great day.
  7. Congratulations Chrissy. Thanks for the review.
  8. Thanks for the detailed review. Glad you had a great wedding. Congrats.

  10. I can get FI to do 5 or 10 ks with me. 1/2 marathons, he says I'm out of my mind lol.

Maybe by next year I will run a marathon!! I am doing this too!!!! Are you running with FI? It is the weekend before I leave for my wedding. I am doing the Zoo Run the day before too and the Scotiabank 1/2 marathon on September 27 (I think that's the date). What time are you aiming for? I normally run with the 2:15 pace bunny. If you are thinking about qualifying for Boston than you will clearly smoke me. Though maybe I will try to reach 2 hrs by October. If you run anywhere close to my times, let me know. maybe we could be a BDW run, haha.

  13. Runningbride, we are scheduled for 4:30 pm. My WC was suggesting we book for 5:30 as she said that would be a perfect time. We picked 4:30 because we wanted to maximize our reception as we only have until 10:30 for the reception. Is your photographer local to Mexico? If so, he would be a good person to ask for a recommendation.
  14. Love them. I also splurged on Louboutins for my wedding. Can't wait to wear them.

After being told they couldn't make my linen and lace dress because it was not possible for them to get linen it would cost like $400 I switched. I had found a tornai which though I don't like her style looked very nice on me. (There is a bride here in florida that was selling hers for $5000 I told her I wouldn't buy it but she convinced me to at least try it on). When I wrote to gianinar they said the dress would cost $150 and $59 for shipping. While in the bridal salon yesterday I tried on a Jorge Manuel which was gorgeous. So bad girl on my part I wrote gianinar to switch (mind you I have not sent my measurements as yet just my $80 deposit and pictures of the tornai). Well I was more than bummed out and a little upset when they said the Jorge Manuel dress would cost $300?!?!? I am so confused. She said the tornai is a simple dress and because the Jorge Manuel has applique it will cost more. Can you ladies please look at the pictures and tell me if I am crazy. The tornai is the one with the sweetheart top while the Jorge Manuel is the champagne colored dress. Which dress looks more simple? The tornai is first and then the Jorge Manuel I have to agree the Manuel one looks much simpler but I know nothing about sweing. OMG, the Tornai is simply stunning. I love it.
  16. Natasha, congrats on the 10 k. Too bad you are not closer, we could run together. Is this your first? You will feel awesome after, I guarantee it. Good luck!
  17. Congrats Jess. Your pictures look great. I cannot wait for your review!!
  18. Jenna, its a beautiful dress. I hope that you are able to switch out the belt. Turquoise would look great. Good luck.
  19. nmurch, wow that is good to know. I have to agree you best bet would be to have them shipped to someone in the US and then pick them up.
  20. Congratulations!! I hope you are having an amazing day. Can't wait to hear about it when you return.
  21. Everything looks fantastic. You look stunning in your dress. Congratulations!!
