  1. I've only passed it on the outside. However, take a look at the reviews for the resort on TripAdvisor...I think that you will find some good information. Here's the link: Breezes Resort Bahamas (Nassau, New Providence Island) - Resort Reviews - TripAdvisor

I found 1 bra that might have worked but they didn't have my size in the store and would have to order it in, and there was no guarantee it would arrive before I left. Also, there was no guarantee that it would even work. So, I need something that I can get now that will keep the "girls" up and won't show under the dress. My MOH suggested duct tape, lol, but I'm not liking that idea. Any suggestions? The BEST strapless bra that I have ever owned...it's more like a corsette is the Goddess strapless longline....It will HOLD you in....and up...you will look like Betty Boop....and I'm a 38/40G. It comes with straps, but I have never used them. You can read reviews about it on the site. Goddess Lace Longline Bra 689 - Goddess Bras
  4. Thank you all!!! I am so excited. Cdrolz- I chose West Beach at the Atlantis for the ceremony. I loved the way the Cloisters looked in pictures, but having never seen it in person, I did not want to book it. As for the reception....for now, I chose the Flying Fish Knoll at the Royal Towers...only because I may have up to 100 guests and I liked this location better than some of the other outdoor locations that could accomodate that many guests. Since I really do not know how many people will actually be able to come, it could only be 40 or 60 people, I may change the location later. Also, I want to use the deck area by the Royal pool for my reception....I have to wait to see if that will be free closer to my date. When I go for my site visit to meet with vendors and my coordinator, I will look at the locations again. While I THINK I know the Atlantis like the back of my hand, I never looked at locations in terms of having a wedding there. I can't wait!!
  5. Can anyone recommend the name or names of transportation vendors in the Bahamas? I would like to do a welcome reception off-site and need transportation for our guests. Thanks.
  6. I visited there on a timeshare presentation once...it's a beautiful place!!
  7. Congrats Shelby on your engagement and welcome to the board!!
  8. Ha...you think you have issues...I only get perks from my hotel if I book 50 ROOMS for 3 nights!! Not a perk at all....I'm getting upset just reading this thread!!! LOL Oy...
  9. Hi ladies...so glad to have been directed to this thread by Lisaloo....have been reading through it ever since. Just wanted to share a few places that I like. There is a plus-sized boutique here in NYC called MonfiC. It is small but has some great items. She also sells on-line. Her convertable dresses are FAB!! I have one in white. The Sandals Grande St. Lucian has a definately more romantic but active vibe. When we explored the option of the Regency the rooms along the beachside were not what you wanted ( just too noisy- definate high action, party area) and going up the hill to the bluff the rooms were either not unobstructed ocean view and/or rennovated and the Butler level on the bluff was more than you needed/wanted. I am sorry that you missed the stay at one Sandals, Play at all three -we had discussed that in length- including the shuttle schedule. There was a lot of information to take in with one phone conversation and we talked for over an hr !! Have fun on your search and I hope you find a St. Lucia property that makes you happy! Jennifer....oh yes...still considering St.Lucia...had to wrap up the venue for the wedding first....it was a bit of a struggle I must have forgotten the part about being able to use all three resorts. That is a great feature of these resorts. Based upon what you have said and what I have read here....the Grande seems like a great fit for me personally...especially when I just read that it has the best beach....very important to me.
  12. Hi and Welcome!! I am also a Bahamas bride!! Have you checked out the Bahamas board here which is a sub-forum under the Caribbean? There are many posts about Wedding planners in the Bahamas. The general Atlantis thread also has some good info about planners and other vendors. Have fun!!

I might skip a veil with this one. If you do choose a veil...I would pick a simple one as the flower is a real stand-out on it's own!! BTW...you look great in the dress!!

  16. So happy for you ladies!!! I was getting mad FOR YOU!!! LOL How wonderful that they are honoring their commitment. That says a lot about their organization.
  17. Woo-Hoo!! I am soooo happy!!! Just received the counter-signed contracts back today. I am actually going to have my dream wedding at one of my favorite places in the world!! I have visited the Atlantis at least once a year...sometimes twice a year...for at least 10-12 years. To get married there is going to be amazing. I am so happy to have this task done after less than a month of being engaged. I got so much info from this board. Soooo much more to do...but I am so glad that this part is done!! YEAH!!

He wanted to go somewhere different, but not tell him... but eventually he knew it's in St Lucia, and knows the name of the resort now (since others asked him where we were going), but has even looked at pics of it, so it will be a surprise somewhat. He did ask how much I paid for it, and nearly $hit brick, but I told him this would probably be the only chance we'd get to experience a place like it. They take half the payment upfront as a deposit, then the final payment 30 days before you arrive... so my final payment comes off my credit card next week. It's going to be quite the experience there!!! You lucky, lucky girl!! The place looks FABULOUS!!! Hopefully you will come back to give us a full report. God bless your FI....I don't know how I would explain that price to my FI....LOL

However, you can go to any of the 3 sandals on the island to hang out or eat. I think that makes it a really good option. I chose the Regency because it was a good price and the size we were looking for. Im sure we will explore all 3 though. When are you going? I didn't realize that you could use the other Sandals resorts too...that is a fantastic perk!! When you say that you can't use the beach if it is windy, does that apply to all of St. Lucia Sandals resorts or just the Regency? We are looking to go after our wedding July 10th.

Even if you choose to bring your own real touch ones, looking at flowers that you like could definitely inspire you- for example I love turquoise but didn't find there were many flowers in that colour, even in artificial ones. So if you do pick a blue colour, you may want to think about picking an accent colour that you can find flowers you like in. Thanks for saying this as I am thinking of putting some type of blue in my colors.
  21. Congrats on your good news....enjoy Jamaica...it is beautiful!!
