  8. Keria... I love your 1st pick... VERY cute!! mich999... good point! I was thinking it might be nice to wear the dress too, for the guests that can't make it to Mexico. The AHR site is putting up a big video screen so we can play a video of the wedding at the beginning of the reception... that way people who weren't there can see it... but I think maybe I should wear the dress too.
  9. What is everyone wearing at the AHR? Are you wearing your wedding dress? I don't know what to do... we're getting married in December and the AHR is in late Feb.... we're not doing a real formal event... nice, but more of a "fiesta" to tie in our Mexican wedding. I don't want to go really casual, but I don't know if I should wear the dress or not. What do you think?
  10. Looks great!! I love the idea of the farmers market for flowers... unfortunately, the farmers market in MN is only open during the summer, and our AHR is in Feb!
  11. Love it! It stands out because it's not the "average every day dress" that you see all over the place. Go for it!
  12. It's gorgeous!!! And since it found it's way to you several times... I would say that's a sign that it needed to be yours!!!
  13. Congratulations!! Take a deep breath, and start reading... you'll find great tips on saving money and sticking to your budget... just remember to HAVE FUN!!!!
  14. Welcome to the forum! Happy planning!

  16. We're getting married in Cozumel on Dec 10th... we just got engaged and started planning a month ago, so I feel like I'm behind, but the plans are moving ahead fast. The wedding coordinator at the resort has been fantastic and she's handling most of the arrangements with an email to me here and there about needing a decision on something. So far we've got: -our travel booked -wedding day itinerary set -bridesmaids/groomsmen set -reception sunset cruise booked -STDs went out 3 weeks ago -starting my formal invites now -purchased about 1/2 of the items for OOT bags (there are shopping bags all over our guest room... no time to put the OOT bags together yet!) -colors picked -logo done.... but now thinking about changing it -meeting with site & caterers this week to make a decision on AHR reception Whew... I feel like I have a ton left to do and just 4 months to do it!!
  17. I would put it on a later page if you're going to use it at all... I never put that statement on my STDs, and now I'm glad that I didn't, because like Becks said... then you don't have to send formal invites to people who you know are absolutely not coming.... now that I'm making my formal invites and also planning the invites for the AHR, the cost is adding up!
