  1. I'm so very sorry for your loss, and sorry that your mom won't be there, in person, on your wedding day. I cannot imagine how you dealt with this the day before your planned DW! My heart goes out to you. My husband and I (second marriage for both of us) were married 3 years ago. His Mom had passed away a few years before. We honored her by having the small posy on her chair and mention "in memory of" in our wedding program. But the best thing we did was to remove a flower (each of us) from the flowers on the wedding/altar arch and walk to the water's edge, say a prayer for her, and threw the flower in the Bay. It was meaningful to us and to our guests. My niece sang "When You Say Nothing at All" by Alison Kraus as we did that. It was beautiful.
  2. I've never heard that song "Cinderella" -- Absolutely beautiful! I"m going to recommend this one to my stepdaughter for her to dance with her dad on 11/4/12 I absolutely love this site!!! Even though I was married in July, 2009 (with lots of great ideas from here!), I am still a member and refer to it often. Here's yet another great suggestion!
  3. Like me, you don't have enough posts yet to be able to download it . Although my wedding is past, I am now planning a wedding for my stepdaughter in crisis mode so any help would be appreciated!!
  4. We used "You Had Me From Hello" by Kenny Chesney; beautiful song and the words are awesome
  5. These are hysterical! Someone could make a movie -- like The Hangover!!!
  6. I'm in northern Harford County, MD, almost at the PA line. We are officially in blizzard mode!! YEAH!!!! So it's a day of a rolling fire in the fireplace, baking cookies, wrapping presents and movies on the Hallmark Channel. I'm in my glory! We did the grocery shopping thing last night -- CRAZY!!!! Safeway was literally completely out of chicken -- crazy!!!!!
  7. You have lots of support here...it's clearly someone who is jealous. Delete and it and don't look back....they aren't worth it, and they are trying to get you upset. Don't let them see that it has phased you at all. As for Grandma, find a good friend who is willing to videotape the ceremony for you, and send her lots of pictures!!!! Hang in there!!!!

They looked great and for 15 tables cost me very little other than $15 for the frames. I'll post a picture soon!

  16. What allows you to move from Noob to Member?
  17. I actually did use beach formal attire on my invitations....but that is all I put. A few people asked what that meant and I said basically sundresses for women, khakis or comparable for guys with a silk camp shirt, Tommy Bahama shirt, hawaiian shirt, etc. and no shorts. No coat and tie for the guys....and everyone is happy!
