  1. Hi Ladies! I'm following WW as well... just started actually. I did it back in high school and was successful and now I'm doing it again but this time on my own...Scary! I decided because it's the holidays to follow the system on my own (I still have the books and points calculator) and if I'm able to do it a couple weeks on my own then I may sign up for the online program. What I find now is that I can search recipes online with WW in the title and you get a ton of info! For Free!. Wish me luck! And congrats on everyone's work so far!
  2. OMG Amber your pictures are amazing! You look sooo beautiful! Congrats on your amazing wedding, can't wait to read your review.
  3. Welcome fellow ontarian! All the best with your planning!
  4. Congratulations! You'll find great advice and ideas on here!
  5. Hey Ladies, For those of you who don't mind a little extra work, I suggest booking with WestJet Vacations groups department. I did it for our group and got really good rates for our wedding in June... or at least I think so. It means you have to follow up with your guests when it comes time to book but it saves all the money that is wasted on TA fees.
  6. My bridesmaids are wearing a really nice dark purple (eggplant) and their having green spider mum bouquets wrapped in purple satin. Most of my table decor is in the deep purple and the green (chartreuse) will be used as accents in the flower arrangements. I think both colours will pop against the blue of the ocean and their nice rich colours which gives it an elegant but funky feel. If you like it, go for it! Who cares what others think!
  7. That is the most disgusting thing I've ever heard! You need to call and complain for sure. And if you can take pictures like the previous poster said, you should. But don't wait to call, be calm and express your concern and go to a higher level if its not resolved. We just had our house built last year and were at the site almost every week... I never saw anything out of the ordinary other than some garbage and they cleaned it up... Good luck!
  8. I agree with CBell - most people grumble when it's not traditional but then they make the trip and have an awesome time! Hopefully things are getting better for you. Any updates?
  9. I have had many different dress pictures lying around and I know FI probably knows which one I got, but he hasn't seen it on me so that's all that matters!
  10. Wow that looks amazing! How did you secure the welcome booklet together? I'm definitely doing a welcome booklet now!
  11. Congrats and welcome. Good luck with all the planning!
  12. Felicitations et bienvenue!

Does anyone know what real touch flowers are supposed to feel like? ...Maybe they are supposed to feel like foam?? I actually had Jenn from Treasured Moments send me a sample because i wasn't sure. She sent me a white calla lilly and everyone who saw it thought it was real. It felt rubbery and could be crushed and just popped back into place. The only thing I wasn't thrilled about was the stem - it was really plastic looking but then I figured you add in filler and wrap it in ribbon and no one see's it anyways... Hope this helps.
  14. Hi Ladies, I just ordered my real touch bouquets and bouts from an Ontario seller. So far she's been great to deal with and has very reasonable prices. $9 for bouts, $59 for bridesmaid bouquets and $15 for corsages. website is Treasured Moments Flowers & Gifts - Home I should be getting pictures while they are getting made so I'll share as soon as I get them. Also, I found a Canadian retailer that sells badge holders with a ziploc seal for 0.43 cents each! They only sell a minimum of 100 and I only need 50. Does anyone want to split an order? (ID Card Printers, Plastic ID Cards, PVC Printer Supplies & Identification Accessories Canada) Thanks, Heather
  15. I agree with Classadiva, if you have a good relationship and are having multiple dress sessions then invite her to one of those. Or maybe only invite her to the first fitting if your close and then she'll still feel a part of the experience.
  16. I just got caught up with this season and watched the eliminations last night. I have to say I just don't understand why all the judges love Karen. She's got her style and the whole sex appeal thing down pat - I'll give her that - but she can't seem to excel at other styles and her solo last night was crap! She's way too arrogant for me. I'm going to miss channing but I agree it was time to let Kevin go.
  17. Ok I'll be shallow and say rich with the not so sexy guy. If they both have crappy personalities I rather be rich! lol Would you rather have constant hiccups or uncontrollable crying?
  18. Hi Crystal, Maritee just told me the manager's beach party is every Wednesday and starts at 6:30 p.m. Apparently they grill hamburgers and hot dogs and have music. Our wedding falls on a wednesday and we've booked the parrot bar which is further away from the beach. There is another terrace that is close to the beach but Maritee said they don't book it for private dinners because of the party. Hope this helps. Heather
  19. Where did you go in Ogdensburg to get your fillers?
  20. Cell phone! I don't think I could get through the day without checking out the new posts on this forum!! lol Would you rather deal with a completely drunk bridesmaid or a bad-mouthing MIL during your reception?
  21. Gum all the way! I would just cover it up with something - the last thing I would want it is a broken bone! Would you rather have no finger nails or no toe nails? Gross, I know...
