It's kind of crazy how similar my situation is to yours...My father died unexpectedly this year and I am estranged from my mother's side of the family as well. I have no family attending the wedding but my FI will have all of his there. I'm sorry for what you are going through. I know how much it hurts to feel like an orphan when you are planning the most important day of your life. At times like these you just have to be grateful for the people that do support you and for the man who loves you and the life you will get to share with him. Hang in there!

I love the first ones...definitely have more of a wedding feel!

I have tried a few different products. I tried DuWop Lip Venom, Too Faced Lip Injection and Fusion Beauty LipFusion (all found at Sephora). The DuWop and Too faced are the most reasonably priced however I should warn you they sting a little when you first put them on. Also I have noticed that I don't really like the way my lips look after using them. They definitely "plump" your lips however it doesn't look particularly good. I notice my lips look swollen rather than fuller. I did like Fusion Beauty however it is not cheap. I feel like overall that was the best product.

I've been doing the workout for over a week now. I'm wondering when I should move on to Level 2...

Thanks for the advice...that's kind of what I was thinking. Bring the veil along and see what happens. You got a great deal on your veil. It's crazy how much those things can cost!

Just an update...our flip flops arrived yesterday and they look great! I am very happy with them!

I am having a veil dilemma. I never planned on wearing a veil. When I first went dress shopping I didn't even think to try one on. But the consulatant came over after I had found my dress and stuck a veil on my head. My friends all agreed I had to wear a veil. My best friend got married last year and her mother made her veil for the wedding. It is a really beautiful veil. She said that if I decided I wanted to wear a veil I was welcome to borrow it. Well since then I have tried it on with my dress and I admit it looks great. But I still go back and forth in my mind whether or not I want to wear a veil. I would be happy with a pretty flower in my hair. But for some reason everytime I mention not wearing a veil I seem to offend someone! At this point I don't know what to do. Do I wear the veil to avoid hurting someone's feelings and take it off after the ceremony? Or do I just go the hair flower route?

Pink shoes will be great. My dress is ivory too and I bought a pair of ivory shoes to go with it...now I'm reconsidering and trying to find some cute blue shoes. I haven't found any yet but I'm keeping my eyes open!

Oh yeah, same thing happened to me. Everytime a number shows up on my phone that I don't recognize I can assume it's someone who got my number from David's Bridal. How annoying! Will it at least stop after my wedding date has passed?

I'm sorry to hear that you are in this situation. Unfortunately I have the same issues with my family. I have problems with my stepfather and as a result my mother so it has made all of my wedding celebrations very awkward (no one on my mother's side will even come to my wedding). My grandmother offered to throw me a shower but unfortunately I had to pass on her offer since the problems with my other family members are beyond fixing. I hope that everything works out for you and that they won't ruin your special day in anyway.

I really love that dress! The colors are beautiful and it looks great on you. I think it's the perfect choice for a non-traditional wedding dress!

I bought the Eliot Danori cuff bracelet for my wedding too! It really is very pretty in person and goes very well with my dress!

When we first started planning our wedding we also researched all of the different resorts in the DR. We decided to go with the Dreams Punta Cana resort because it was the most affordable. The wedding packages are very reasonable as well as the guest prices. Our wedding is coming up in June and we are expecting about 40 guests.

We are having a Catholic ceremony at the Dreams Punta Cana resort. The ceremony will take place in the gazebo on the resort grounds. It is true there is a lot of paperwork to have the Catholic ceremony, however it is no different than doing it here in the states. The only difference was we had to have the paperwork sent in two months prior to our wedding date and we had the legal ceremony here beforehand.

I just wanted to share our personalized favors with everyone. We ordered personalized cups and flip flops and were able to get our logo put on both! So far we have received the cups and are waiting on the flip flops which should arrive in 2 weeks. The vendor for the cups was great. They were very responsive and easy to work with. We got our cups in no time. We ordered the cups from eBay Store - Factory 21 Promotional Items: Shot Glasses, Steins, Pitchers And here's the final product... We also found Party Flops on this forum. They were great to work with. Alex was very responsive and friendly. He was extremely cooperative in working with us. He sent us a prototype using our own logo and let us use different colors for girls and boys, etc. I can not say enough good things about this company, I would definitely recommend them. Now I just can't wait to see the flip flops in person! The girls sandals are the white and blue, the boys are the tan.

We ordered our cups from the same vendor. The lady was so nice to work with and our cups turned out fantastic! I would definitely recommend them!

Hello and Congratulations! We are getting married at Dreams Punta Cana in June. We have been in touch with the WC a couple of times. It takes awhile to hear back from her, especially if you email during the weekend but she has always gotten back to us and answered any of our questions. Good luck!
