  1. Aww... thanks Lisa. I'm happy to provide laughter but I know there are some great B2Bs that do so much more (like you!) My noms have already been mentioned but I'll second or third or whatever it is now: b2b: billysbride Mrs: dolcegirl
  2. I just put a fake phone number on the slip, but it was close to my real number so if I did buy a dress there I could just "fix" the number. Fortunately I didn't get a dress so they don't have that info but I do get a lot of mails and a few calls from a bridal show I went to. Some of the prizes were so good I wanted to put my real number. Of course the one I actually won I couldn't use. *sigh*
  3. I love the purple outfit, so cute and you look so "innocent" in that pic.

  5. Yamille ~ your pics look great! I love the little black tank w/panties kind of thingie outfit (I'm sure there's a more technical term). Can I just tell you that you have an excellent "come hither" look and f**k me eyes. Seriously, awesome.

Essentially, any navy man that goes to Mexico on leave has to fill out some specific request forms and follow some steps (i.e. having certain phone numbers on them at all times, having a 'buddy' listed on their request, etc.) I found this link regarding the Air Force but I don't know much about it personally: Laughlin Air Force Base - Mexico Travel It appears that travel to certain cities are prohibited but not all of Mexico. Good luck!

Is this normal? Should I be planning on spending a day in Playa del Carmen shopping for Talavera pottery, bottles of tequila, and Cuban cigars? How much am I supposed to be spending on these things? I had planned on including everything that has been discussed and more in our bags, and price is getting out of hand. Am I supposed to be buying everyone presents as well? I don't have anything personalized within the bag, but we are making sure to have their names on a tag on the bag and we're putting a personal letter in each. If your mom's insisting on it why don't you delegate that to her to do, and pay for?
  8. Shannon ~ love the pics, thanks for sharing them with us all. I love the ones outside and in the window, they look so naughty.
  9. I was actually there just over a year ago, for the first time. Some friends of mine go every year. What are you hoping to do there? What kinds of things do you want to know?
  10. Ugh, there's one within walking distance of my office, so hard not to go over and get one. Can I have bulimia for two weeks?
  11. Jax - are you going through NYC at all? We go from Rochester to NYC to Cancun. I hate getting up for a 45 min 6A flight but at least we get to Cancun around noon-ish. Yael, that sucks that you get there so late, I'll be tan before you get there. Marie - WTF? and yes, how is your eye? Lisa ~ I think there's a thread on here that is simply posted wedding dates, you should check it out and see if you have a datetwin. Even the radio is mocking me and my stress of getting married so soon, the song Wedding Dress just came on.
  12. ha ha, the date triplets leave on the same day. We leave two weeks from today at 6AM. Jax that sucks about your photogs, can you call around to someone in the area and see if they have anyone available? I know its wicked short notice but you should have pro pics! Good luck.
  13. Great Review, thanks so much. We leave in 2 weeks and I know that I have some decisions to make before I go. Definitely a good idea so I can just relax when I get there.

For every gold coin I "earn" in the game by doing housework, I get to spend ten cents on me for something I want but don't need. It's a lot easier to scoop cat poop when it "earns" you a mani-pedi! I am sooo stoked about this idea. To be honest my FI is good about cleaning and doing his own laundry and what not. The hardest thing is the bigger cleaning jobs, neither of us wants to scrub the toilet. Our daily chores are worked out but I really want to try this to see if we can get the bigger stuff done. Thanks for the website!

Congrats! Marie ~ you crack me up. I agree with Lisa, WTF can't believe FI would think you'd go for that. I'm hoping that the next couple of weeks go smoothly. FI's cousin just called this past week to tell us she "might" come down. She's trying to get the money or find someone to stay with. So far no one has offered, not only b/c it is all couples but b/c she's freakin' crazy! No one could stand her for a night I'm sure. I just finished packing our OOT stuff. I got it all packed when FI hollers in asking if I'm bringing extra stuff in case new people show up. WTF? Would someone really not tell us they were going and just show up at the resort? Who would do this? Arggg... I still have a long to-do list but if FI gets his stuff done (and I don't have to do it) it should be manageable, really wishing I had time off work before we leave. Oh Well! Hope everyone is doing well and not too stressed...
  16. Great job Kate! I'm so impressed that you planned it all so quickly. Everything looks great and very classy!
  17. My shower was this past weekend and I gave my hostesses (my mom, sister, FMIL & FSMIL) tank tops that I made for them to wear in Cancun. I also gave my BMs their tank tops as they helped with the day and they planned my bachelorette.

I love so many games on the Wii. All the lego games are awesome. We have Rock Band for the XBOX but it would be great on either system (so true that its a good Sat. night, we spend way too many playing Rock Band and drinking beer.) Smarty Pants is a fun trivia game, Carnival and Olympics are both good. Mario Kart is of course fun. There are quite a few bad ones too if you want to know those. The Wii Fit comes with everything that you need (assuming you buy the pack that comes with the board and not just the game lol).

But the update is that my sister called the travel agent and told her she is hoping to come and use the trip as an anniversary celebration (her anniversary is 3 days after my wedding)....and that she is trying to figure out what to do with her kids...the travel agent just told me that yesterday. I'm just keeping my mouth shut and my fingers crossed for now. You young crazy kids! Don't you know better? LOL That's pretty funny. A month is quick but it's not like you just met or anything. Oh well, at least she's thinking about coming anyway. Good luck!
  20. I have the Wii Fit (and a billion other Wii games). I really like it for the games but I couldn't really work out on it. The yoga and strength are poses or exercises that you do one of then have to go back out and select another. For aerobics its not bad b/c you hulu hoop or do step for a while. I really like the balance games though, they are a ton of fun. Honestly a better workout is probably the kids game Outdoor Challenge, it has a pad like DDR but it's all running and jumping. My calves burn after playing!
  21. I've been there too... I've used the resort as an excuse. I usually say that we HAVE to keep it small, the resort won't accommodate parties over whatever, so we're just inviting family... Yes, I'm a coward, I don't want to just say, "I don't like you."

Personally, I really want my sister there, but with the way my brother in law has been acting', I don't really care if he's there or not. He told my parents he doesn't approve of us getting married in Jamaica...so IMHO he doesn't have to come. I'm sorry but this just cracked me up, he doesn't "approve" of YOU getting married in Jamaica? Did your sister marry your father or something? How completely random. LOL
  23. I listen to Pandora all day long. Sometimes the office can be a bit noisy so I like to drown out the noise a bit. Of course, I do turn it down when songs with lots of cuss words come on. Nothing like someone walking by the office hearing, "She F***in Hates Me...."

They decided to only fly on Thursdays and Sunday each week (3 nights). Most of our people booked then and now they don't want to change things back to 4 nights which everyone originally wanted. Fortunately, the ones left don't have flights left so there is still a chance to get to the 75. I am keeping my fingers crossed. I really want the unlimited events because I want a cocktail hour Thursday, coctail hour and dinner Friday and the two events on Saturday. Good luck at hitting your mark! What kinds of events are you hoping for on Saturday? We are doing a private dinner on Thursday then the reception on Friday but I really don't know what other events might be good...
