  1. omg, that's so exciting - I love Martha! Let us know when you have more info!
  2. I would recommend Beckers Bridal or the Dressroom on the danforth. they had a number of really great flowy, light dresses for such a great price. I found one for $300 and $500 that I really loved. Though I ended up getting a dress at Bridal and Beyond.
  3. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. You'll find so much info on this forum that can help you answer your question and with a date that far out, you'll be able to do a lot of research. Trip advisor is also great for reviews of resorts. Happy planning!
  4. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. You'll find tons of info on the forum, but I think you should start with where in Mexico you'd like to get married. Then you can start looking at resorts and venues. It might also be good start talking to travel agents so you can get an idea of pricing. I was actually surprised to learn that while a wedding in Mexico might be cheaper than at home, it wasn't as inexpensive as I thought it would be. Happy Planning!
  5. Wow - thanks for sharing. Those are great websites
  6. I was 9 when I was a junior bridesmaid, but I think you should just go with whatever you want to do. It's your day!
  7. Congratulations and great review. I'm so glad you had an awesome time and your dress looked beautiful. Thanks so much for sharing!

Congratulations and welcome to the forum. You'll find lots of info on the forum. Happy Planning!
  9. I'd love to come! Let us know what time you're booking the reservation for.
  10. MissM, we are flying down June 28 (2009) to Los Cabos for our wedding. I got 6 quotes from different travel agents before deciding on one and all 6 of them were able to find me decent deals for the dates that i wanted. I think you should find another travel agent. I'm currently flying with Sunquest, and though I hear they're not great, they are the only provider affiliated with the resort we've chosen.
  11. You chose some beautiful colours. They look amazing!
  12. Still in the planning process so I dont have much yet: 1. Registry: The Bay and William Ashley 2. OOT bags: Not really a bag. Mostly an information package and a welcome letter. 3. Wedding Attire: Paloma Blanca, Bridal and Beyond (Toronto) 4. Rings: Engagement ring was antique, don't have the wedding bands yet. 5. Invitations: My own DIY project, paper and envelopes from Paper Things (Toronto) and the Paper Place (Toronto) 6. Flowers: Not sure about the reception flowers. BMs flowers will be put together using real touch flowers by Fete Boutique (Toronto) 7. Decor: Still planning 8. Travel Arrangements: Expedia CruiseShipCenters, Willowdale 9. Are you active on any other Canadian Forums? (if yes which ones): No 10. Other: N/A
  13. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. I attended a wedding at the Riu Palace Mayan Riviera and it was beautiful. Happy planning!
  14. I think that's a great idea! You'll find a ton of information on the forum. Happy planning!
  15. That's really tough because it sounds like you have a lot of history together. I agree with the other posts and think you should tell her how you've felt this whole time and why. I've had issues with girlfriends before, but have found that you can't underestimate how strong friendships can be when you're honest and open with one another.
  16. Would it be possible to plan the wedding yourself? If you can do the research and do the bookings yourself maybe that could be an option? The deal you have at home seems pretty awesome. We're saving so much money by going away, but if I had the option of having it at home for the same price, I'd stay at home.
  17. Congratulations and welcome to the forum. I'm getting married there too, but not until next year. I'm working through many decisions myself, but this forum has made it much easier for me. Hopefully you'll find it just as helpful I'm getting my hair done at Suzanne Morel (great reviews here) and I'm using Bradley Fraser for our photographer. Our package comes with Mango, but we're thinking of using them for videography only.
  18. I agree with everyone - I don't think that's too early at all. Most guests will probably know whether or not they will be coming, especially when it comes to booking time off for vacation. I haven't sent out invitations yet, but it's great to find out what everyone else is doing. Thanks everyone for sharing!
  19. Congratulations and welcome to the forum
  20. I would say #2. Red, patent leather, peep-toe pumps, with a bow? Get outta here - those are adorable AND versatile.
  21. Congratulations and welcome to the forum Your wedding may be last minute, but you'll be able to find SO MUCH info from the forum. You'll be set in no time. Happy Planning!
  22. We're doing the same thing. My fiance and I have decided to do the legal ceremony before we leave. The thought of coming back and having to do another ceremony just didn't sit well with us. After we come back from our trip, we want to be done with all the wedding planning and relax.
  23. Butterfly Enchantress has some really beautiful flowers. Thanks so much for sharing!
