Lol! ha ha, I know how you feel...I am so ahead of the game now! Hugs to another transplant bride!

I am sure it is been gut wrenching! Props and love to you all! BTW, I hear July is a great month to get hitched! I think most of us are trying to roll with the punches...there really isn't too much we can do...however...air transat has canceled all june flights so if they even cancel one more week that will be me again...so worried! I re booked at the same resort so it didn't cost me to push back my date since I didn't cancel anything.
  5. meeting FI: Meeting my best friend
  6. finally coming together: Not my wedding
  7. I was reading on the WHO site today that the USA actually has more cases of H1N1 than Mexico...yet no one has canceled flights to the US? I hope this goes away soon because if my wedding gets canceled twice I will actually cry this time...it really sucks to be unsure that you are getting married!

Hi Katey, I think quite a few brides have/are having receptions on the beach and I haven't heard complaints of sand blowing in food (it's windy there but not that windy , you can also choose the garden area or the ballroom, but in the garden you need to finish by 10pm, on the beach you can go untill 11pm. Kim Thanks Kim..I hope so too! I just wanted to chime in about the beach reception. I am having mine on the beach and was told that it is not usually too windy..yes breezy but not usually windy...they also told me that if I need to move it they have other areas that are often available.
  9. If all of the guests will already be there then I would just announce it when guest book. It probably doesn't matter too much to your guests which day it is...I'm sure they are happy to be there!
  10. I really hope this dies down soon...I rescheduled my wedding for july but air transat is already canceling into the end of june...I am simply going to flip if I have to change it after waiting another 2 months!

I spend months reading reviews on Trip advisor and this resort ended up having everything I wanted! Good luck in your search and use trip advisor! It was a life savor in deciding! We chose The Royal for the exact same reasons! My Wedding co ordinator (paty) has been awesome, she gets back to me quickly and doesn't seem to get frustrated with my millions of silly questions. I liked that it was central to all the fun and downtown, close enough to the ferry to cozumel and absolutely gorgeous on the resort for the FI's family who doesn't like to leave the property. I am really looking forward to the wedding there...should be quite nice!
  12. I am staying with my parents...my dad is kinda old fashioned and even though we live together it is a bit of a tradition in our family. I get along great with my folks so I don't mind at all and am looking forward to being away from FI for a few nights before we are officially married. When my sister was married we stayed together before her wedding..however I don't think her husband would enjoy my company in their suite so my folks got a larger room and if my MOH ends up coming I will be staying with her instead.
  13. chantal this happened to me too...but in May! I re booked my wedding for July 6th and now air transat has canceled their june trips up to june 19th! If you put pressure on them they will probably reinstate your land reservations and maybe you can get a flight with someone else? I totally know how you feel..it SUCKS!

  15. We are getting legally married on the same day as our wedding...so we have the civil at 10 and the spiritual at 4pm...the civil will be immediate family only. I did it this way because to me if I did it at home I would be married...I know that is all just in my head, but it would bug me so I went through the extra work.
