I came across this on the internet and just wanted to share. Take from it what you like and leave the rest. It is sad that with modern technology...we can put a man on the moon, cure fatal diseases and grow human tissue and organs (just to name a few), but can't cure cellulite...LMAO Cellulite Alert! Women of all ages can fall prey to those unsightly bumps. Here's what you can do Q. Yikes! All of a sudden I see that my thighs are getting kind of bumpy. What can I do to smooth them out again? I'm in my late 30's and never thought I'd get cellulite so young! A. Cellulite doesn't discriminate. It can show up on girls in their teens--or younger. That's because, despite what you've heard about cellulite being some mysterious condition linked to "trapped toxins" or poor circulation, cellulite is simply old-fashioned fat. It just looks different because of how it's arranged. Everyone has strands of connective tissue that separate fat cells into compartments and connect fat to skin. In women, these fibers form a honeycomb-shaped pattern, so any increase of fat tends to bulge out like stuffing in a mattress. You see less cellulite in men because their fibers run horizontally, forming a criss-cross pattern that prevents bulging or dimpling. Though cellulite can pop up any time, it is true that cellulite does seem to appear out of nowhere and get worse with age. That's because our tissues change. Those strands of connective tissue thicken with age, and our skin gets thinner, making cellulite more noticeable. More importantly, we gain fat with age. The average woman loses 5 lb of muscle and replaces it with about 15 lb of fat every decade of her adult life, says Prevention advisor Wayne Westcott, PhD. "Because fat is exceptionally soft, it doesn't keep our skin taut like muscle does. It also takes up more space, so it bulges out," he explains. With the right exercise plan, you can reduce your cellulite and make your lower body look smoother and firmer, says Westcott. "When we put 16 women ages 26 to 66 on our program for 8 weeks, all of them reported less cellulite in their lower bodies. Seventy percent reported a lot less." The trick is working all your lower body muscles from every angle, reducing the underlying fat stores and replacing lost muscle tissue to give the area a taut, toned appearance throughout. Perform 1 set of 10 to 15 repetitions of the following exercises 3 days a week. Lift slowly, counting 2 seconds to lift and 4 seconds to lower. Before starting, warm up thoroughly with walking, stationary cycling, or light calisthenics.

I just saw the same episode. I am having a hard time accepting that there is nothing you can do. I was trying to figure out if hf was saying that there is no topical or oral cure and the only thing the cosmetic companies are ripping us off. But I surprised that he did not even say the appearance can be help with proper a proper diet and exercise (especially with his medical explanation of cellulite). For give me if I'm babbling but I am still in shock from hearing such a cut & dry no.

This is not my pre wedding diet, but I did this to drop weight before going on vacation to Cabo. oatmeal, 1/2 bagel w/ fruit spread no butter, chicken and vegetable or salad and whole wheat pasta. My snacks included apples, grapes, low fat yogurt, bell peppers, cucumber, carrots, celery and the 100 calorie snack bags. I did not work-out (I'm lazy) but I lost about 2.5 lbs per week and was never hungry

Althought I have never had the pleasure of visiting Queen Bee..I would highly suggest this service. There is some discomfort but it is quick...Remember, no pain no gain...LOL. I have found that the harder waxes (pink or blue) have less sting than the traditional honey type wax. Also, the more often you have it done (keep up with your follow-up appointments), the less pain involved....Just my 2 cents. One more thing, if you're having it done for some type of an occassion, have the service done at least a couple days prior. You will love it and so will he

Kudos to who came up with this Idea. The women are so different in each region and hysterical in their own right...I like Atlanta and Orange County, but I could not get into New York.

i tried velashape with good results but depending on your location the treatments can be costly. So i opted for a small at home version which i got for about $130 which includes a cellulite reduction cream. The machine is referred to the Bliss Stimulator on steroids...Good Luck. Oh don't forget diet and exercise. I got good bikini results in about 6-8 weeks of better eating a more physical activity

I sure will...I have been away for the last few days but I can forward the info today. The resort is very nice but seems more for adults and relaxing. Our resort was just next door (Solaris). An older resort but the people and the service was great...A vey down to earth family feel. But I fell in love with the chapel and decor of Cabo Azul. Also, Sergio and his staff have been wonderful and very helpful.
