  2. I am with you Amarillis...the people are really get hit and it is hard to get information about what is going on specifically in the areas. I am also worried about the resorts that many brides are using to get married in the next few months. I know that resorts usually spring back quite quick but I feel horrible for those brides getting married in Cuba in the next few months... If anyone has been down there since the Hurricanes let us know what it looks like and what is happening...
  3. that lady has mental health issues..wow! That is really crazy!
  4. Those are the craziest thing I have ever seen....I agree commando sounds like a lot less work as well as more comfortable...as for new things out there I think a man must have invented these as well...LOL good luck!

  6. Dessy Wedding Dresses : Wedding Dresses, Prom Dresses, Wedding Accessories at BestBridalPrices.com I was not looking for a dress but this link is great for all kinds of things...thanks so much for posting this link.

Thanks...one question...does it stain wall and such? I have a small bathroom-LOL
  8. Well I need to - receive my dress that I ordered - alterations if needed - receive FI pants that have been ordered - finalize guests (who has paid or not) - find tiara, veil, hair accessories (NEED HELP) - finalize music for dances - tone my BODY! - gifts for attendants - start welcome newsletter/brochure and I am sure there is more...it is not much but it truly is time consuming! Good Luck ladies!
  9. Ladies, I have moved to a small town where the pricing for indoor tanning is a wopping $1.25 per minute which I think is plain outrageous! My question to you all is has anyone used sunless tanners that work well? Have you tried other things that may work? My wedding is in Feb so it is still a ways away but I want to no be whiter then my dress on my big day! LOL Thanks so much!
  10. Well my guests are flying from Canada and must connect out of Montreal to Cayo Largo Cuba. Some are coming from Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton, Toronto and some rural areas. They are all staying in the same hotel Sol Cayo Largo and the total costs range from $1600 - 1800 each. Most of those are double occupancy. So...I am not sure if that is what others are paying but Cayo Largo is a private island with only one flight per week in and out of the island so prices are little bit higher. We are also getting married in Feb...so it is supposed to be a little bit cheaper. I hope that helps.
  11. I always wanted a huge wedding with a grand wedding dress where the train would be so long you could barely walk. I always wanted all the other girls to be jealous of the wedding. Then I met my FH and things all changed....I then wanted a small DW with just a few people and a romantic evening under the stars

I was afraid to have people mail them back because Punta Cana's mail system is unreliable (according to my WC). If you are making the post cards yourself i would definately use Vista Print like others suggested. Have you decided what your going to do with your postcards when you get them back? I think i'm going to find a photo album that will fit them nicely and show both sides. My SIL is doing a scrap book for me for the wedding....I mentioned to her about this idea and asked if she could incorporate them into this book...she said she will try...if that does not work out then I will probably do something like you...just an album! i would love to do something more artistic than that. I have also thought of doing something like decoupage or framing or something else that is artistic that can be put on the wall...I just hate having another thing put on a book shelf where it won't get looked at very often! I would rather have a great conversation piece!
  13. I choose 5 diamonds solid band...because when I think if spaces like that I think of all sorts of things getting in between them and then they need to be cleaned more often...but both are truly beautiful!
  14. Hello ladies...I have this idea which many of you have similar ideas of have already done this but here it is... I would like to make postcards that I can give not only to my guests but also to those people who were unable to attend the wedding and would like to send a message to my FI and I once we are married. The post cards would be given and then we would have them send them in the mail on their return to Canada or maybe even from Cuba (this has not been finalized). There is one thing though...If anyone has done this or has looked into it what is the cheapest way to go? I want to add my own picture to the front and then put our address right on it so they do not really have to do much just place a message and send. Can you do this with your own computer? Should I use a company (Staples, Office Depot, someone online)? What is the best way to do this? If you can help please do so...I would like to get started now and get them ordered if need be. Thanks
  15. Ladies I have had my crockpot for over 6 months and still have yet to use it as I have never used it....but some of your recipes have inspired me to get off my butt and get lazier with dinner by using is once and for all....Those ribs sound enticing! Thanks for the boost...now what am I going to do with that 1.5 hours I used to use to cook dinner...LOL
  16. Your pictures are wonderful...I am glad it worked out for you!
  17. I think that it is very unique and will stand out making it beautiful. I believe that it will look sharp in pictures too! Great find!
  18. Welcome to the club...Cuba will be amazing that is why my FI and I are getting married there as well!
  19. WOW that was one of the most beautiful slide show TTD sessions I have seen...it brought tears to my ears...you guys look so happy...and it looked like a very romantic fun time doing the TTD. I just loved it...you look so beautiful on the horse...and that one picture with you both on the rock looking straight at the camera is just perfect!

Never thought of this idea before...but WOW that is really great and something that is more useful then just a book with signatures and messages in it! Your guests will love it!

  22. Well I am trying to do something similar in regards to the post card idea...except I would really like to include those who could not make the DW wedding due to finaces or other reasons out of their control. I have not yet fully figured out how I will do it...but I want to take a post card and send it blank to family and friends who could not make it as well as have one for each guest who does come and have them put a message on it then I am going to get my SIL to put it all together for me (as I am not talented that way). There are still some glitches in that idea but if anyone has a better way for me to do that then please let me know. Love the photobooth idea as well...do you use a Polaroid camera?
  23. Jennette your wedding looked beautiful and I just love it...I did not know you were on this forum but it is cool to find it now...even after the fact. Hope Calgary is treating you well! R
