I actually booked my trip last week, and this place looks absolutely beautiful!! I cannot wait to go there! I ended up getting the Royal package... does anyone know what kind've bouquets they provide?? is it just the standard bouquet? Josie, those magnets are so cute! I love them! did you end up giving them to everyone you invited or just the ones that are going? Have you guys thought about favors? do you guys know what you're going to be handing out on the wedding day yet?? I was kinda thinking about maracas, or possibly waiting til I get to Mexico to buy them, but I have this fear that when I get there, i won't find anything I like. highly unlikely, but you never know.. wow.. i have a lot of reading to do on this.. 70 pages of reading. Yeah, I think you're right Katie, just received an email, and they said if you aren't having a private reception, you will not be able to play any music. they also added if that if i wanted a private reception i would have to pay an extra 1700 if I didn't have the required amount of people. It does kinda suck though that they won't let you play at least one song. I'm not sure if it's worth that much to have a private reception, I haven't yet decided. Maybe there is somewhere on the riu grounds that you can arrange to have your first dance, if not in the restaurant.

MsBettyB - Thanks so much Betty for all the information you have shared with us, it definitely has helped me! The pictures were beautiful, I'm soo excited now! Actually, a quick question.. I just read that you can't have music at Boto Fogo if you are having a semi private reception, is that the same for Chillis as well?? I'm only having 26 guests coming with us, and that's below the minimum, I was curious to know what everyone else was doing..

I completely understand.. Something somewhat similar happened to me... one of the groomsmen decided it'd be ok to invite his cousins without even asking me, and I actually found out from my travel agent... What a shock that was. Everyone has been telling me, the rules don't apply for a destination wedding, and anyone can come.. which is a load of crap.. Honestly, this is the most important day of your life, and you should be happy, and if this situation doesn't make you happy, then don't settle. Your FI's brother shouldn't have done that, you guys should talk to him. Hope it all works out though!!!
