  1. I live in Canada and it's legal here. I love Canadaaaaaaaaaaaa.
  2. to show you how much I've forgot about religion class in primary school: I didn't even know it was Lent. I haven't had any chips since last Saturday, does that count? lol
  3. Definetly sit down with him and get him to tell you his concerns about the DW. I must agree that this far in the game, it will be more costly to cancel your DW than to go ahead with it. I agree with the above posts, perhaps cut back on some of the extras or think about big ticket items and see if there is a way to make those things cheaper. Good luck!
  4. Awhh get married the same week as me so we can parrrrtayyyyyyy. I'm leaving January 17 to January 24 and it's costing just under $2,300 per person (we are staying at the Elegance, in the Elegance Club (adults only). It is a more expensive hotel but honestly the other hotels I was interested in were more expensive! (Paradisus Palma Real, Paradisus Punta Cana, Riu Palace) Quote: Originally Posted by sjmacphe Hey Ladies, I am not going to be married on Dec 29 at the Majestic, I was sad to cancel it but it's just tooo expensive to go there at Christmas/New Years. I still want to consider the Majestic, but since I am having it in May or June 2010 now I am thinking prices at other places will also be more competitive...I got a quote from a TA who said it will be 1800 pp plus taxes in May 2010 to the Majestic...still seems a little high to me, if we were going this year it would be about 300-400 cheaper than that...so, I am not sure what to do!! I have contacted another TA to get a quote, so we'll see how that turns out... Just thought I would update you guys since I am not longer a Dec 29 bride!
  5. Why is it that drivers think that because the law in Ontario says you can turn to the right on a red light mean that you don't have to stop to see if someone is trying to cross the street? Almost got ran over walking my dog yesterday and the dude had the nerve to beep at me. Let me tell you he got a nice "f*ck you".
  6. Have you considered a personal training session? I know at Persmart they cost something like $75. We did our training at Petsmart and every time I have a question I just go back to the store and ask the trainers and always get excellent advice! We should have a puppy play date, I'm in Ottawa too

Like you said though, it's really not that important to have that. Are there anymore good questions I could ask? One thing she did say is that they're feeding them Iams Small Breed Puppy Food. I guess it might be the following!?! Iams Smart Puppy Small Breed Formula Dry Dog Food - New Puppy Center - Dog - PetSmart Also, with the night time temperature here in Utah still getting down to the low 30's in the middle of the night, would you recommend putting some little sweaters or shirts on him since he's a little Dachshund pup without a lot of hair? I live in Canada where it's like -500 degrees celcius at night (ok, I exagerate a BIT). My dog doesn't have a lot of hair and I don't put a coat or anything or even little boots and he doesn't care! I think that when you go look at the puppies you just need to look around and see how the puppies are brought up. If you wouldn't let your dog live that way, then don't buy from that breeder. See how the parents of your new puppy act, how they are treated with the owners (do they sleep outside, in the bed, in a crate)?
  8. At 7 weeks it's not a big deal (about the puppy pad thing). Wether the dog had puppy pads or not before, it's still going to pee in your house many times before it learns to ask for the door. Sorry to break it to you A kong is a toy, you stuff treats in it. They have many shapes and sizes now at the pet stores. My puppy loves them too but he's so smart he gets the treats out wayyyyy too fast even though I shove them in as far as I can. Little shit, lol.
  9. Well I really hate to say it but : men in general are not into planning things. If it bugs you that much then sit down with him and tell him how much his input would mean to you.
  10. I suggest getting in touch with a travel agent. Make a list of what you would like in a resort (kid friendly, adults only, how many restaurants, etc) and go from there with the travel agent.
  11. The 2010 package pricing information will be available once the flight schedules for 2010 are released (in April 2009).
  12. awh you're just having a small bridezilla moment I don't understand girls sometimes.. they know these kinds of guys never change and always come running back to their friends crying wah wah wahhhhhh why can't I get a guy to respect me, he always cheats on me, etc. I will think happy thoughts that she kicks his ass to the curb before your wedding, just for you. You should tell her how you feel, definetly. Most people can't read other peoples' minds. I agree that this could end up in major drama once you are in DR since there will be tons of half naked women available to him. Yikes! Hang in there sistah!
  13. They put my request for a specific date in a "provisional calendar" and will be confirmed in April 2009.
  14. He needs a swift kick in the ass, and you should be wearing stylish pointy shoes when that happens. Sorry but honestly, what was he thinking? I hope you aren't taking his comments to heart because I am sure you are very beautiful just the way you are. And you should wear whatever you want to wear! (personally, I think that first dress is va-va vooooom)
  15. I think it's a shame. People are condemning her (not saying I don't agree) but in the end her kids are the ones who will suffer.. They didn't ask to be brought into this world this way.
  16. Think about all the reasons why you chose the MP to begin with. There must be some good reasons, right? Then weigh that against changing hotels which could mean extra fees, finding a new resort 5 months before your wedding (may not get the date you wanted). Keep us posted.
  17. It's very scary. I remember maybe 10 years ago you'd see people walking their dogs at midnight. Now, people don't walk their dogs past 9pm! I was very grossed out when I read that story yesterday on a news website. I think to myself too: what the hell is wrong with people! Just like this morning I was waiting at the elevator, and more people arrived maybe 45 seconds after me. The elevator door opens and they all cut me off to get in. Don't people have manners anymore? First come, first in. It's called MANNERS. Ugh, PMSing lol
  18. Some parents just have no manners... Not the kids fault though
  19. GUY SAYS TO HIS WIFE: "Darling, what would you do if I said I've won the lottery?" Wife replies: "I'd take half then leave you." Guy says "Excellent! I had three numbers and won ten dollars. Here's a five now fuck off!"
  20. Ugh I wish I could have mine taken out. I get infections literally every month. But here in my province unless you are dying they won't do the operation. I hope you recover well. What a good excuse to eat lots of sorbet!
  21. Yeah the first couple, the wife, what a nut job. She is obviously very insecure and needs WAYYYYYY too much attention. Seems like someone who was an only child and always had the attention of everyone. Loved how she answered the question: Do you have any friends? "Yes, Yeah, Yeah" which means NO!
  22. I stayed at the BP 2 years ago for a wedding. The wedding itself was beautiful. The food at this resort is fantastic. What I didn't like about this hotel is that it's supposed to be a 5 star but the accomodations (rooms) are a bit outdated for a 5 star (tacky colours, tacky bedding, but the bathrooms are lovely).
