  1. OMG I would be mortified if I ever recieved something like that. I'm sure my aunts, uncles, cousins, and grandparents would not be able to pass this quiz but you better believe they are invited to my wedding and I will be to theirs. In my family you are always invited. I had a few people ask me at work if they were invited and I told them they were more than welcome to come. Maybe coming from a large family is what gives me the thought of there is always room for more.
  2. Maybe you should try looking on ebay for another dress. If you find something you are interested in you can ask questions and you never have to Tell anyone NO. Just don't bid. I prefer doing all my shopping online because I hate feeling pressure.

Darma just sent me an email telling me the cost of the up-do.. (washing, drying, extra, but I wont need that) and that she can book it for me. ? I am planning eveything through our wedding planner and making my payments through her. Luckily I have been able to send everything via email. At first I was really unhappy with my planner but lately she has been really quick in responding to questions. I don't think anyone has brought this up before but I want everyone know that the food and flower options are flexible and you don't have to stick to the options written out. For instance: We requested a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and white icing and were told they could do that. This is the one thing FI wanted so I am SO HAPPY they were able to do it.

Maybe one of the girls who has been there with a group can chime in. Bridget- Did you get this information from your wedding planner? I was considering doing something like this following our 1 hour reception but wasn't sure. Maybe it will be different since we are staying at Beaches and there will only be 8 adults including FI and I. We figured if they couldn't accomodate us we would just go off site to eat.
  5. It took me forever to finally complete my invites and by the time they were finished I completely forgot to post the final results. I want to Thank everyone who gave me honest feedback throughout the process. Here are my results.

    Welcome to the forum.
  8. Welcome to the forum. I live close to Miami but am getting married in Jamaica. Where in Miami are you getting married at? There are so many great places down here and plenty of activities both day and night for your guests.

    Hello

    Welcome to the forum.
  10. Your shirt turned out really nice. I'm sure your MOH will be very happy with it.
  11. The dress is beautiful. Maybe you can try selling it on ebay if you don't have any taker on here.
  12. That's a great buy. Did Whole Foods buy out all of the Wild Oats stores? I think mine might still be Wild Oats or maybe I just don't pay much attention.

  14. The swimmers idea is great! Can't wait to hear if it actually worker.
  15. I am personally doing oot bags. I haven't spent that much for the fillings and I don't plan on spending much. So far I have: Travel cups for $1 each from Target Purell hand sanitizer 1 penny each from Staples Nail Polish remover single packs (free) Bandaids (free) Soap that I made probably ended up costing about 25-50 cents each (Bought the kit and molds from Micheals with 40% off coupons) Flipflops $1 each from Target Sunscreen for about 75 cents each After Sun lotion for about 75 cents each I bought the two above in large bottles then bought small individual plastic bottles for 50 cents each from Target and filled them up. I'm also in the process of making a welcome brochure on vistaprint Free of charge I plan on filling them up with some medication and snacks too. And... If the vendor pulls through for us we will include personalized beach towels which will be around $10 each. These are the ONLY thing I really wanted to give my guests even before the idea of an OOT bag came to mind. We are only having around 10 guests so this has been a super cheap product for us. Oh yeah and my actual bags are the cute straw Target bags you see all over the forum with the addition of a cute ribbon tied on each.
  16. I just saw that you already picked. Love the bag. I try not to read the entire post until after I post my reply to the original message because I have a tendency to forget what I was going to say. Blame it on the ADD

  18. I wouldn't mind and probably be flattered you liked my taste so much. I'm easily amused though. I say just go for it.
  19. Ok I don't want to sway the vote so I won't say much. I would like your opinions on which dress you would like better. I absolutely love them both. Please excuse my son's mess all over the house. The First dress still needs to be steamed and fitted. DRESS #1 DRESS #2
  20. Kelly- I'm afraid my DIY project is going to turn out more expensive then I wanted. I'm thinking of trashing the idea and just using fake flowers to save some money.
  21. After searching for what feels like ages and even considering buying stems and trying to do it myself I found an excellent vendor. Her name is Jennifer Gibbs and her website is Details by J.Lynn she is also on etsy Etsy :: detailsbyjlynn :: Hand Tied Round Wedding Bridal Bouquet of Orchids, Calla Lilies and Roses Her prices has been the best I can find and her work looks amazing. She has been excellent in responding promptly and honestly to my emails. So far I can't say anything bad about my experience working with her. I will definitely post pictures when I get my flowers.
