  1. I will be wearing a strapless bridal bra, my spanx, and possibly crinoline under my gown. I bought the crinoline to go under my dress but not decided if I really want the added poof. My dress has some crinoline already built in and I think that it is probably enough. I love all the cute personalized panties but again I am undecided.
  2. We are not having an AHR. The only people we are really close to in town are our immediate families. My aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends don't live in town. People have said they can't attend our DW because of the cost of travel so I see no reason to plan an AHR because those people would have to travel for that too. I will post pictures for those unable to make it to see. My cousin got married in France where his wife is form and they ran into a similar situation. Those that can afford to travel will be there are those that can't will be missed.
  3. Ok personally this is your and FI wedding not his mother's. If you and FI are not close to his aunt then I don't see any reason you have to invite her. From what you say it doesn't sound like this aunt has tried very hard take make you part of the family. I know personally having someone not speak to me would make me feel very uncomfortable and that is not something I want to feel at my wedding. I personally think that FI needs to speak to his mother NOW. I think it will hurt his mothers feelings more the longer she thinks and plans for her sister to be coming. You don't have to be ugly about it just make it very clear that your and FI want only the people closest to the two of your there.
  4. Callas are not usually my favorites but I am really liking #1
  5. We are waiting until the ceremony to wear our rings. Although when I first got it home I wore it for like 3 hours before taking it off. LOL I was really enjoying it. I think the wait makes it even more special.
  6. Jennifer- How much time do you have before your wedding? Unfortunately for myself I did not do enough research ahead of time on Sandals/Beaches wedding policies. I think there locations are very nice but I think they are crazy for not allowing brides the option to choose outside vendors. I mean I understand not bringing in outside food but not being able to have your own photographer or florist really sucks. I also find it irritating the price they are charging for food that my guests and I have already purchased when we booked the AI. I understand that some other AI actually include a reception. I have not had my wedding yet but I can honestly say for the headache they have already caused me I would NEVER recommend Sandals/ Beaches to anyone having a wedding. Hopefully others have had a better time than I have but my wedding consultant is Aweful and you can tell this is not something she enjoys doing. I know in the end everything will turn out fine but I wanted to do a small destination wedding to minimize the stres not increase it. Good luck in your decision making.
  7. I like #1 the best but I think color would also be fun.
  8. We are doing OOT bags but not doing favors. We are only having a cocktail reception for our small group and then meeting informally for a later dinner together. In regards to cost I am trying to keep them around $20 but I will probably end up going over that. We are going to give them out prior to leaving to all of those we see and then take the remainder down with us to hand out on arrival.
  9. This was my first time ever attempting to make soap and once I got the hang of it it was exceptionally easy. I just bought the melt and pour kind of soap. The brand I used was called Life of the Party. I can't give you a review on any other brands but I was please with this one. I bought the one with shea butter but they also made glycerin and goats milk too. I did add scent to mine but it actually has a soft smell to it as is.
  10. Those are great buys. I never seem to find those coupons.
  11. That looks really neat almost like it was grown that way. I'm sure it takes tons of time and patience to make. I wouldn't even know where to start. If you do end up making it post lots of pictures.
  12. OMG I actually have completed my project. I'm so excited. This is what ended up working the best for me. First I took vegetable oil and greased each of the molds. After I melted and poured the wax I stuck them in the freezer. I waited about 7-8 minutes for them before I took them out. When I tried only waiting 5 minutes they were still to soft and the center liquid. They popped out of the molds so easily after sticking them in the freezer though. I wanted to thank all of you so this suggestion it worked out great. Now all I have left is to bag them up but that will only take a few minutes. I am so happy with them.
  13. Lucky you free shirts! The shirts came out really nice I'm sure they are going to love them.
  14. I went to staples last night and bought a few. I'll have to go by a few more times though because I need more.
  15. Quote: Originally Posted by Tara I've seen these. My cousin (also MOH) is really excited to get these to wear to my bach party, but as cute as I think they are, I don't really want anyone to be my bitch. ...Other than my fi. I just choked on my drink when I read this. Too funny.
  16. I never even considered placing them in the freezer but will definitely be trying that. I did try rubbing the molds done with a little oil prior too filling them but it really didn't work. I'm having fun with these and love the fact that when I mess them up I can just go back and melt them and repour so no wasted materials. I bought all of my supplies from Micheals. Mine really didn't have too many molds though. I found on ebay a ton of molds that I would have rather had but I really don't have the time to wait for shipping.
  17. Lauren- Unfortunately the image is one complete piece not three seperate pieces. I'm wondering though maybe I can try and narrow the image and get it to look better. I'n not hating it overall I just think something need to be tweaked. I think at this point though I have looked at my invitations so much I am going crosseyed. In regards to the wording sticking out I'm fine with that. I actually have cut the outer paper to let it peak through. This is the invitation I fell in love with and am basing mine off of.
  18. These are going to go into my OOT bags. I added a tropical scent to them. FI says they smell like sunscreen lol. They have been really difficult to get out of the molds so if anyone has advice I would appreciate it. I only have 8 successfully done at this time but needed a break after continually burning my fingers.
  19. I really hope this works right this time around. These are the drafts of my invitations. I will have a pink ribbon around the outside of them under the starfish when complete. I stayed up all night trying to get the sizing right. What do you think? I'm not all that thrilled with the image in the background but it is the one thing that FI asked for. I think they have turned out pretty good so far. I has written instructions on all of my drafts so I can remeber what I did to get them to look that way. I feel so good that I am getting such a big project done.
  20. If I had to guess I would say only our very immediate family will be there. So I'm guessing at 10. We haven't sent out invites yet so there may be a few that surprize me. I don't know why I kept thinking I had more time than this. I know my FI will help but I need to make a list of things that must be done. So far this is my list: Mail out our documentation Buy shoes Have dress altered Buy the remainder of things needed to complete invitations Mail invitations out Finalize agreement with photographer Order Flowers Buy a suit for FI Pick out music for ceremony and reception I have a ton of things that I would LIKE to accomplish but I think these are the things that absolutely must be done before anything else. At least I know I picked out my groom already.
  21. I just realized that I have just over two months left until my wedding and I haven't accomplished anything. When I realized just how little time I had left my stress level skyrocketed. I am still trying to hold back tears I am so upset at myself. What are absolute must dos? I know I still need to get my dress altered, get FI suit, mail in my information to the resort, get my invitations done, but what else absolutely must be done first. I have been so busy looking at all the little nice to have things and have completely let time slip away. I am so embarassed. If someone can help me compile a list of absolutes I would appreciate it. I don't want to forget anything important. Maybe this is why FI got me an organizer. LOL I made him actual return it and told him I didn't need it. He knows me so much better than I even know myself.
