  1. Hi guys, just wanted to say hello. just been obsessing about the news OMG I cant take it anymore. Then today i got a lovely email from our TA saying that now that we have re-booked for June 7th departure each couple or room has to pay an extra $288 for the week WTF First I am asking them hey wanna risk getting violently ill? YES? ok then change your original vacation days to 2 weeks later tell your boss too bad so sad...still ok....then now comes oh ya I need you to pay $288 for this hassle and flu by the way! OMG why us??

I too had to postpone my wedding we are now getting married june 10th but now my dad is not wanting to change his travel stuff yet cause he says well what if they still wont fly in june? WTF?!?! so i said whatever! if you wait and all the seats are full well too bad for you because either way Keith and I and the rest of our guests are going. Oh what a nightmare!!!!!! I am so lost right now, I cant concentrate at work this is all I think about. Best of luck to everyone and thanks for all the support and positive thoughts.

  4. Hi everyone, Thanks for all the support, you ladies are wonderful! just heard back from MOH & Best man, they are good to go their vacation switch has been improved! We just lost our DJ, DJ Bob he is already booked that day. any recommendations? Also for those of you who know...what is the weather like in the RM in June...is there really a threat of hurricanes Thank you again!

You are soooo right! t still sucks but its true what if that date wasnt available i would be devastated to have to wait till next year. Also just heard from MOH & best Man they both were able to switch vacation days so everyone is in except for FI's sis inlaw. but we did lose DJ Bob as he is already booked for that day! Now what any reccomendations? should I just go with the resort DJ? if anyone did the poolside reception and used their DJ please let me know how they were. Last thing, what is the weather like from june7th to 21st? i have heard hurricane season is this really true?? Thank you all for the support, you ladies are amazing, i would be so lost right now without all of you!

  7. Well Ladies! count me in as another member of the canceled wedding club! I too also found out while at work when i wasnt supposed to be checking my VM. i asked to go for lunch early and was on the phone for 2 hours with Yuritzia, my TA, FI & guests. we are so fortunate that we are able to book June 7th flight and Yuritzia has booked us for June 10th wedding, same time, same restaurant, poolside reception now we are just waiting on Claudia Rodriguez, alexandro zavala and DJ Bob to see if they are available for the new date WHAT A NIGHTMARE !!!!!!! Also we have lost my FI sister and her husband and our 3 nieces who were our flower girls because future BIL is a doctor and a super paranoid one so he doesnt want to go and also because June is the start of hurricane season so he doesnt want to chance being in the carribean for that OMG! everyone else is able to go though so it could be worse, also it is not costing us any money at all to change dates. My heart goes out to all of you canceled wedding brides out there, lets stick together and keep each other posted. I will say that i will be F*cking pissed if they lift the stupid ban and resume flights after I have already changed my plans ooooohhhh someone will hear it from me! seriously that better NOT happen...OMG do you think it will??
  8. Hello Fellow DW brides! OMG this has been the day from hell as I am sure it has been for so many of you. I got a call from my TA saying it was urgent so i called her and she said all flights are canceled to mexico by air transat till June 1st so NOW WHAT I called my wedding coordinator at the Bahia and she managed to change my wedding date to June 10th same place same time same restaurant, poolside reception. still waiting on Claudia Rodriguez, DJ Bob & Alexandro Zavala to see if they are still available for that day for their services but on the whole it is pretty good basically delaying it 2 weeks. Only sad thing is now FI sister, brother in law and our 3 nieces (3 flower girls) will not be able to join us for the new wedding date, i am so crushed about that but what can we do right? OMG!!!!! why is this happening right now? my WC says that it has been business as usual down inthe RM and she was shocked that i told her about the flights being canceled, i was the 1stto call her so i told her well it looks like you have a very busy day ahead of you! Thats all iwantedto say, I hope the rest of you are managing to stay sane and calm through this, just think its more time to lose weight and more time to save money LOL at least thats how I am thinking about it now. I am still upset about having to wait an extra 2WEEKS!!!! and about our family & flower girls but at least it is not costing us any more money at all what I would like to be doing right about now ----->
  9. Hi Ladies, ok so I did 2 days of the shred so far and was intending on doing straight through till the wedding but i had to skip today(3rd day) since i could barely get in and out of the car and up and down stairs. lets not even talk about peeing, that takes 10 minutes LOL FI did it with me on my day 2 (his day 1) and he is now feeling it too. cant wait to see what happens after 30 days

Hi Abbie, I am obviously a little slow today LOL ok so if i understand this correctly.... it is better to bring sown Canadian dollars and exchange in pesos for say tipping or shopping and spending at restaurants etc than it is in US also is that rate just at the hotel? so sorry thanks for the clarification. we have been buying a bunch of USD since it has come down to 1.23 but now I am wondering if I should hold off on the rest?

Taking the advice of some of you who highly recommended looking on eBay for a cheaper dress for the TTD worked out beautifully. I ended up being the only bidder on this dress, which just so happens to be in my size, for only...drumroll, please --$75! The seller is even covering shipping costs! Just make sure you go to the airline website and print off their policy and take it with you when you go to the airport. Make sure to keep it handy because chances are they will argue with you about it but if you have the documentation to prove the policy to them they cannot deny you. But knowing that you do not have to give up that extra piece of luggage gives me some peace of mind.
  24. wow, so sorry to hear that! but great to hear that you have so many people booked and so early. i am sure things will work out, your guests could fly on a diff day, i know not ideal but as long as the important people are there thats whats important
