Sleep in a little on Christmas day, eat some left overs then relax on the couch in our jammies watching one of our favorite Christmas movies...Home ALone 1 & 2, Santa Clause & Elf oh and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
  2. oooh mine is Home Alone ( the first one) i have to watch it every year and Santa Clause (the first one) and now also Elf

Her phone number is 52- 984 116 79 73 She is not expensive and also goes to your place. She is great! 6) EVA TAME from studio 22 It seems most people get their hair/makeup done at their hotel. I think we should start a new thread and ask people to post their makeup and recs for hairdressers not associated with a hotel. Has anyone used any of these? i am also on this quest, thanks for the posts! i will keep checking this one!
  4. i love this thread, i was thinking of doing the maracas too but the singing a song with the word LOVE in it sounds great too!

Then they drew the blood and gave us the marriage certificate that night (which was accepted at the DMV & Social Security office). So... not sure what that's about. Oh, are either of you divorced? I know it's a lot more work to legally get married down there if you were divorced. Tlseege LOL thanks for the answer,i figured they were not available I also talked to yuritzia on the phone and she said all we needed was our passports and tourist cards that you get from the airport in mexico and thats it. i asked her 2xabout a birth certificate and she said i dont need it and we are also having a legal ceremony.
  7. what a gorgeous dress, i wish i could but not ready to buy a dress yet! i am sure you will sell it no problem!
  8. Ladies does anyone know if stephanotis flowers are available from the florist in mexico that Bahia uses? I would really want these flowers in my bouquet. Thanks for the info

I just wanted to point out that actually if you are wearing white then you should wear nude or beige underneath because it is the closest to skin color so it will not show up in pics. white on white is ok but not the best.

I use and will be using for our wedding MAC proLongwear Lipstick. go to any Mac store and try it, they have lots of colors. i put it on at 8 am for work and eat drink etc and I still have it on till 10 pm at night. its a double ended tube 1 for the color and then when its dry (30 sec) you apply the gloss. it is so amazing!
  11. Hello Ladies! Does anyone know or has anyone used a stylist in mexico? We are getting married at the bahia Principe akumal and so far i am hearing that the spa is overpriced and not very good,i would like to bring someone into do all of our hair & make up, any suggestions thanks!
  12. sorry about the drama, whenwe first decided we had about 30 people who said yes, then when it cam e to deposit time everyone was like oh well its a little expensive grrrr $1740 with tax for 1 week in a junior suite5 star resort? what is wrong with people? well we are so far 12 and i am ok with that, my MOH good friend is not coming so i chose another friend who is going. with DW u have to pick the bridal party based on who's booked thats theonly stress free way. but like usaid, i will say just do what feels right for u, my FI parents look like they may not be coming, no one from his side is, they may go if they find a seat sale...GOOD LUCK i highly doubt they will find one. dont stress it will all workout in the end

What prices did she give you for 2009, would you mind sharing? I think I may call her what number did you call and did she speak good english that there is no confusion? Our wedding is in a little over 3 months and I am starting to get nervous. JK: I know about the frustration, i emailed her in july and copied Paloma in on it and Paloma replied that Yuritzia was on vacation so i waited and waited and waited..... well i got tired of waiting LOL my wedding is in 6 months, yours is so close, i would be freaking out right about now! ok so here is what i got from her today... BTW she speaks great english, nothing to worry about there. As far as prices we only discussed cocktail options not wedding packages but i do have the price list that they have for all the packages for the ceremonies etc, do you have that? if not let me know and i can email it to you. We have booked the DJ and poolside cocktails and dancing for 2 and a half hours. our ceremony is 4pm dinner is at 6-8 pm, cocktails poolside is 830 to 11 and then live music for an hour at the hacienda before the disco opens. The DJ is $150 an hour, he can play his own stuff or you can bring your own or do both, the cocktails you have2 options: regular is$5 per person for the 1st hr and $3 for the 2nd & 3rd hr and that includes beer, pina colada, margaritas & pop. the international is $17 per person and $12 for the2nd & 3rd hr and it basically includes everything. There is no minimum to be able to book the private poolside cocktail thing, we only have about 15 ppl and so it will only cost us about $ 550 pretty good deal, it includes lights, tables and chairs and linens, i am planning on doing the first dance and cake cutting here. The 2 options for the dinner that she told me was the Italian or the Seafood. The 2 ceremony locations she offered were the hammocks (she recommends this one) or the dock (for smaller groups up to 20 i think she said), she will email me the spa services list and restaurant menus in about a month also, she said wedding gown steaming is $20 to $25. hmm what else, i asked so many questions... bride, groom, parents, bridal party and witnesses may all take their wrist bands off for the day so it doesnt interfere with pictures. the dinner includes a dessert or in lieu of dessert they can make you cake instead she suggested the chocolate cake. Let me know if you have any more questions, i may know the answer. oh also she was very nice about doing a welcome dinner, she said she could book a section off at the riviera buffet so the whole group could dine together. its nerve racking not knowing a lot but i am sure everything will turn out great, they do like a million weddings a year LOL my only big concern is the spa specifically for hair, not hearing too many good things about them. I might source out someone from mexico to come and do it for us instead, i think i will ask claudia rodriguez for suggestions. Happy Planning!
  14. Hello Ladies! We have just a bit over six months and getting excited! I just got off the phone with Yuritzia, i decided to call her since emails were not getting a response and we talked for almost half an hour and she is actually very nice. She gave me lots of information and peace of mind. we just booked the poolside cocktails and dancing with DJ and i have to say it is very reasonably priced. she also said she would email me all sorts of pictures of setup, locations, flowers, menus etc. is anyone is getting married at the akumal side your options for dinner are Dolce Vita (Italian) of Frutos del Mar(Seafood) Did anyone use either of these restaurants? how were they? not sure which one to choose. thanks for the advice! let me know if you have any questions!

  18. Hello Ladies!I am on the Bernstein diet, I started on Oct 16th,pigged out over thanksgiving (canadian) as my last big meal and then diet. I have lost 18 pounds so far in the last 17 days. It has been fairly easy. the diet is restrictive in a way that it is strict as to what you can and cant have but we make awesome meals. and I pay $620 a month plus food but actually it is saving us money because we used to eat out once or twice a day. i just saw the bernstein dr. yesterday and he says that i will beat my goal weight (120 lbs) by end of february. so from 229 lbsoct16th to 120lbs by end of february! which is great since i have my dress, bought it years ago when we first got engaged and it is a wedding dress 12 street size 8 so the dress will actually be too big. i can get it taken in, but i am so excited to be able to wear the dress of my dreams!
  19. royfa! awesome pics! you looked lovely, glad to hear everything went well. our wedding is less than 7 months away!!!!!!!!!!! I am on the wedding dress diet and so far it is going very well, i have lost 18 lbs in 17 days! my wedding dress that i bought9 years ago when we first got engaged will actually be too big!

  21. Hi Ladies, a couple of months ago I saw some cute room key and tip holders...the kind thats like a badge holder but with a zip top and a really cute card inside with a charming saying, does anyone know where that thread is? I have tried a million different search combos and no luck! I must make these! Thanks in advance!
  22. We ad it for our cat. He was really sickly when we first got him lots of stomach problems however when you start with insurance we used pet plan they get your pet's file, they must visit the vet before you can get covered for a check up. they saw his gastrointestinal issues and they covered us with the exception of his stomach stuff which was one of the reasons for the insurance in the first place. we got it anyways just for peace of mind but we were paying $40 a month for 4 years and didnt use it so we cancelled, i figure the money we spent on ins. prior would have cost us the same if he did get sick so i will just cross my fingers he is ok. plus we have 3 cats and i felt guilty only insuring 1 because he is a purebred and the other 2 we got at an animal shelter. if you have any questions let me know!
  23. Ladies, thanks so much for all your help and advice. we will see how it goes, i will keep you posted. the diet starts when i get back from vegas. oct 1! I am so excited!
