  1. Drop out?! Girls, don't drop out!!!! Even if it isn't going so well. This is a such a great place to find motivation to keep going, whether you lose weight or not. Plus we all seem to relate to one another like this last week everyone seemed to enjoy themselves than work on losing weight, which we need to do every once in a while! Hang in there girls, remember these last 2 weeks are the hardest! We're on our way up now, or down in lbs terms!
  2. I hardly ever drink. I just finished breastfeeding a month and a half ago. And I've only had one drink while at a wedding. I'm kind of glad, otherwise I would definitely enjoy my weekends a little too much as well! Now i'm the one who watches everyones kids while they go out, this could definitely lead to a lot of stress munching, but between small kids and 2 under 10 months i don't have a moment to eat! I did much better than I though this week. I'm down 4.4lbs. I'm really sick right now so we'll see how this week goes. Good luck girls! Yay LeAnne for 10lbs!!!! I can't wait for double digits!
  3. We are doing one per couple, and every single person gets one. We have pretty girly bags as well, but for single guys we bought nike drawstring bags. We arent doing lotion or anytihing like that. So, we'll only put one of everything in them, except 2 water bottles, 2 beach mats, and 2 tshirts.
  4. You can get them on ebay a bit cheaper I think. We got a case that is for our camera. We have an REI in our town and I tried it, but it really drove me crazy, it seemed like carrying a large ziploc w/ my camera in it. We do a lot of snorkeling around the world so it was worth it to us to spend the extra money. it would be fine if you didnt use it under water much.
  5. Ah Amanda!!!! I missed your congrats thread, sorry! So,CONGRATULATIONS!!! You look so beautiful, cant wait for more. I hope you had the time of your life!
  6. I was looking a while back and looked through these, i like this one the best w/ great prices Playa del Carmen Wedding Music, Guitar, Flute, Harp, Violin, Mariachis, Riviera Maya, Cancun, Mexico - Ajua Weddings -
  7. Ya, erin and jamy covered it. it is a 2 yr commitment, if you and your spouse are joining together you will get placed together. they don't reduce your studen loans, but they defer them while you are gone. There are many volunteer opportunities, although for a short trip that you are talking about you would have to cover travel, etc. Is he wanting the volunteer experience, or traveling?
  8. Hi hun! Always search the forum before posting a new thread it may have already been addressed and you can bump it if you are wanting more info. here are a few http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t27305 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t11290 http://bestdestinationwedding.com/forum/t29359
  9. We have actually looked into it, and my in-laws are planning on doing it in a couple years when they retire. We think its very interesting, but we've been all over the world, lived in belize and also lived in africa. we've been trying to figure out if you get any vacation time, or if family can come visit. you have to be really committed and open to anything. you don't get to decide where you go when you start. they will decide where you go. We're mostly interested in africa. if you are a doctor or schooling in nursing you will probably go to an area where AIDS is a large issue. the peace corp is doing a lot to fight AIDS. you are paid the average amount that the locals in the area you go to are paid. we're also trying to find out if we can use money from our own savings. hope that helps a little.
  10. We are having ours at 4:30pm. We're on vacation we don't want to get up super early to get ready. Plus we'll have enough time for lighted pictures, and beautiful sunset pictures. plus we can have cocktails right after and dinner, and party all night!
  11. Also check their return policy in case you or the girls, or both absolutely end up hating them.
  12. they really arent that far from Tulum. I mean cancun is about 80 miles, but Puerto Adventuras is around 20 miles and Akumal is only 15 miles from Tulum.
  13. 3 of my BM dresses were bought at Davids bridal on sale when the girls took a trip in there. My MOH dress we actually found at Dillards on sale for $20
  14. I would like the 6 clutches if they are still available, I will PM you! I will also claim the aqua table runners when you find them, if you can send me a pic!
  15. Hey girls, if you don't mind. What prices is DJ Bob quoting you and for how long? We'll be in akumal and are just going to use our ipod, but i'm debating about a dj just cause I don't want to deal w/ when to turn the ipod on and off, but it really depends on the budget.
  16. Hi hun! Sorry to hear about the wedding being called off. I hope its for the best. I sent you a message on etsy about some stuff!
  17. do a search on the forum for each of those and you'll find lots of info. Especially look at the other girls reviews they do after their wedding. They grade each vendor, you can get a lot of info there!
  18. I bought my dress from DB and had a great experience. I think its just like customer service anywhere. Usually good, but there are days. I went during the $99 sale on a Friday afternoon and it wasn't crowded at all. The girls were REALLY nice. I was also able to just start going through the racks picking out the dresses I liked, then while trying them on the consultant would pay attention to the features I liked on dresses and would go get dresses I hadn't picked that she thought might appeal to me.
  19. One of the girls just posted her planning thread and her colors were blue, pink and orange. I personally think you need 3 colors. 2 main colors that contrast one another, and another one to just give a small accent to everything

  21. Here is one out of Puerto Adventurous, but they do pickups: Fat Cat catamaran sailboat tour- Monthly Spotlight Feature, Mexican Caribbean, LocoGringo.Com This is the one out of akumal bay, here's a few links to it: Akumal Mexico tour: Sailing & Fishing: Catamaran Kantaris http://www.akumaldiveshop.com/Sailing/default.php http://www.travelservicesakumal.com/...g=1&category=2 http://www.travelservicesakumal.com/...g=4&category=2 Here's one out of cancun too: Isla Mujeres Catamaran tour from Cancun - snorkeling tours in akumal I can't remember all of the original info I was going to post, I will keep searching!
  22. Veils in my opinion or tricky. They look different on every person, and everydress. My suggestion is to have your hair done the way you want it for your day and go in and try on veils w/ your dress and shoes. You won't really know how its going to work unless you have it all together. Do you have to have a veil? I think that the birdcage veil is more your style for 1940's, but i personally don't think I'd like the bird cage w/ your dress. I really think w/ finger waves and pin curls may be best w/out a veil all together.
  23. If you have time in the next few days, I would check out other bridal stores. I know you don't have much time (you can always rush deliver) but I found that I had a couple I loved and now I doubt the one i chose. I would try and find one that you put on and you can't live w/out! I like the first one, but I REALLY REALLY like the second to last on your not list. I think it does wonders for your body! Dress for the body you have now girl, of course we all want to lose weight, but if it doesn't happen then you have a flattering dress anyway! Good luck!
  24. I think you really need to take the time and run the numbers. We (are already legally married) but the best thing for us (according to our accountant) for being in Montana was to file separately on the same form for state and allow him to claim our child cause he makes much much more, and then for federal to file jointly. I have never used an accountant before this year, but I now recommend it after using one. We really only went to one cause we inherited ALOT of money and didn't really know what to do for taxes w/ it. Now that we've seen an accountant, I really recommend it, they help greatly and really work to get you the best outcome!
  25. We are having our wedding in RM but we plan on buying like small bottles of mexican tequila once we get there to add. We're also going to costco to get bottles of water and candy. We aren't going to assemble until we get here, just cause its easier to pack things separately than a bunch of full bags.
